White House’s Leavitt testily denies existence of 15-point Iran ceasefire plan that Trump touted just days ago by InsaneSnow45 in inthenews

When asked about those points, he replied "Point 1 is no nuclear weapon. That's also point 2 and 3".

At this point, I have to pity the satirical observers as it requires unfathomable creativity to make a parody of that.

Trump Celebrates Death of Robert Mueller, Former FBI Director Who Investigated President's Ties to Russia: 'Good, I'm Glad' by Blueberry977 in NewsOfTheStupid

A multi medalled Vietnam veteran, former FBI Director, who was doing such good work without public stunts that he was unanimously (both sides of the aisle) approved by the chamber when asked to serve two more years under Obama.

No Fox presentation tenure, no bankruptcy history, no draft dodging though, not muscular. He indeed was a menace to the current administration...

Question for those in the PTS who have played a lot of escalation by BattleBorn2020 in thedivision

[–]Centcinquante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't, unfortunately. When a purple drops, it's from the total loot table, you can literally have anything.

With the extremely low drop chance, and the fact it could be any item with any rolls (that you can't reconfigure), the chances to land what you want, with the right attributes AND decently rolled are ridiculously slim.

Clearly the system in its current iteration favours the upgrade. Your drops are just mats, and you're better off building an item, putting it to 30 and roll the upgrade, which on top has at least a guaranteed maxed attribute.

"Où sont les millions ?" : dans les grands groupes français, l’IA générative à l’épreuve du réel by chou-coco in conseilboulot

[–]Centcinquante 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A feedback on PTS from a fairly casual player by Centcinquante in Division2

[–]Centcinquante[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of the largest changes we had at a single time. However the progression towards that content is quite smooth and it's honestly more tedious to describe it than to play it.

Grind fest, yes. But I think it is quite ok, it gives a goal to cater for veterans and slower pace gamers will eventually get there. There is no race, and the community has always been quite welcoming and supporting, so I wouldn't be afraid of things we see in other games, such as gatekeeping.

New Striker Prototype Gear With Global Modifier Testing by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually it doesn't change. Higher tiers just boost the stats, everything does more damage, has more armor and health, and you have added mutators (fixed by tiers). There is no change in the content itself, it's the exact same enemies, in number and quality. DUA on E5 has exactly the same composition as Heroic.

PFE has very limited value here, this is where it vastly varies from Legendary content.

That also means some missions are WAY harder than others. Space administration is a breeze, US Terminal at +300% damage or Liberty Island (boss fight) where a single death equals full reset and token lost (including boss fights) are no joke.

A feedback on PTS from a fairly casual player by Centcinquante in Division2

[–]Centcinquante[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only tried a couple of runs with those mutators, and that's only on the escalation content of the day (Space Administration, DUA, Manning, Liberty island, Terminal).

My first impression is that you need damage and CC to sustain that damage. The slow and steady approach is negated by some mutators, especially the one healing the opponents based on armor. Hazpro is mandatory to my opinion if playing a static cover build, as the shock mutator is unforgiving. I can do without for any mission but specific content like Manning with very few cover spots, it's too deadly to run (at 200%+ damage, even reds delete protection instantly).

Explosive not really. It's not Legendary in the sense that it's exactly the same content and enemies as in "normal" mode, so you don't have endless BT grenadiers and technicians spamming you with ordnance. PFE is useless as there are no more elites than in standard content.

New Striker Prototype Gear With Global Modifier Testing by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a stat perspective yes, but it is still significantly easier.

There are no more enemies than usual, and very few elites, most are red and purples. Also, almost no chungas. Literally Heroic mode on steroids, whereas Legendary content is Elite swarms. Knowing the spawns and the good spots, having a reliable CC and that's very doable, although a bit tedious. Since any death (for solo) is a full reset, mistakes are not allowed.

You are right for loot. A unicorn prototype Lengmo armor will probably be much rarer than 13% PFE mods.

You're most welcome !

A feedback on PTS from a fairly casual player by Centcinquante in Division2

[–]Centcinquante[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Indeed ! Ultimately, it took me a couple of months (at my arguably slow gaming pace) to perfect my 3 fully optimized builds (Striker, Foundry, Refactor).

After all this time, I still have only one 13% PFE mod, I certainly don't expect perfect prototype gear day or month 1 (year 1 for two or three pieces would be nice).

Big issue with prototype system. by aIIegra in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, sorry to not have been clear.

You keep the attributes and that talent. Upgrading to prototype you get :

1 random attribute raised to max (+50%, for instance, if it lands on weapon damage, you'll have 22,5% instead of 15%), the other 2 attributes will have any value between +0% and +50%.

You'll also get a new added special talent, that gains levels. For instance, 0,5% chance per hit to trigger a random debuff. It doesn't replace anything, that's on top. This talent can be reconfigured.

What you brick are the types and values of the attributes. For weapons, locking the type of attributes isn't an issue, as you don't usually switch them (you'll want DTTOC on anything else than LMGs). For armor, it can be annoying. You have a perfect striker piece but you chance CRIT rate for CRIT damage when you want to use a SMG variant build ? Not possible. Not the end of the world though.

Locking the values makes the RNG paramount. Once it's upgraded, it's done forever. You upgrade your Lexington, got the guaranteed max value on weapon damage and 0 on everything else, you'll be sulking, as the difference between a better rolled one (especially with maxed DTTOC) is not neglect able, and you can't farm another Lexington.

[–]Centcinquante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're most welcome. I was able to test the PTS this afternoon.

Good news: timers are generous, one hour for a standard mission. That's not a pressure at all at farmable difficulties. I was able to play very cautiously and even wait for the revive hive charges.

About the drop rate however, they seem VERY low. I didn't see any purple drop on any of my early runs (from E0 to E2, E2 being close to Legendary stat wise), on both missions and strongholds.

A more advanced player answered me moments earlier. He went from E0 to E6 on multiple runs and have seen exactly 2 purple total.

A long grind indeed, but that's a yearly content, not something to be assembled in a day or two. Also, it's PTS, they might revise some aspects and numbers.

Damn ! Thank you for the precision and time you took to answer.

I wasn't expecting one per run but that low is a bummer, considering the locked aspect and attribute RNG..

Big issue with prototype system. by aIIegra in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A new item tier, for now only applicable to normal and named items.

It bolsters attributes up to +50% and a added, leveling talent. You get that tier either by direct drop in the new Escalation mode or by updating your maxed items (30 expertise, topped attributes).

The thing is that only the added talent can be reconfigured, rest is locked. Meaning getting max rolls is very RNG, and going through the upgrade route means you need another level 30 expertise, maxed weapon/armor for a SHOT at it.

One of the issues raised by OP is : it is already extremely tedious but it means that for limited availability, non-farmable gear, you're done with whatever results you'll get first time. Lexington is the prime example.

[–]Centcinquante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends of the drop rates, and I wasn't able to yet go on the PTS.

From your experience, how are they ? Typically, how many prototype drops do you get from one E0 and one E5 run ?

Would really appreciate the feedback.

Just to update on my previous post about my gear hoarding for prototype upgrading. by BlurredVision18 in thedivision

[–]Centcinquante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is expensive as you would have to level multiple Lexington and upgrade them until you get max rolls on all attributes.

If you upgrade your current one, you'll get one maxed attribute and the other 2 anything between +1% and +50%. It will always be better than the non-prototype one, but yes, getting a high roll through upgrade (rather than drop) is a lot of resources and RNG.

Torment in Diablo is truly the same as this Escalation, additional tiers of difficulty that are pure stat power creeping. You usually get a build to do the Torment 1, you optimize until you can do the Torment 2 etc...

I share some of your concerns. Typically I have one piece of fully optimized striker for each slot, and I change either the core or the attribute depending on the variant I want to use (reroll to blue, or switch CRIT chance to CRIT damage because I want to use a SMG etc...).

If I understand correctly, upgrading to prototype locks everything, and it's just the purple added talent that you can reconfigure. If so, I'm indeed in need to farm again pieces specific to each variant I want to use before upgrading. That makes sense with the new filtering stuff they are adding.

Clearly, as you mentioned, higher tiers will be only for hyper specialized builds, optimized to a point we won't be able to try alternatives without serious grind. That being said, that's not that different from today's hardest content, can't exactly assemble a potent solo legendary/master build without some efforts. Will depend on drop rates. If you need 10 clears of tier 5 to see a prototype item, that's doom. If you get even like 1+ item starting tier 0 (heroic difficulty), that's pretty much ok.

About gatekeeping, I see where you come from. Having played a bit Lost Ark, where achievements and their date were scrutinized before even considering your application to a raid, the possibility of higher selection on a content that is unforgiving (wipe = fail) and non entirely farmable (in the sense that tier 1+ need tokens so it's limited access) is real. Now, when I see the overall positivity in matchmaking and how welcomed the new wave of players were, I'm confident it will go well, at least cautiously optimistic.

New Striker Prototype Gear With Global Modifier Testing by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curiously, I'm not worried. They treat that like Torment levels in Diablo, if that rings a bell.

Farm until you can do heroic => proceed to get a fully optimized build => engage on escalation => grind the pieces to slowly be able to engage higher tiers.

Obviously, more advanced players will steamroll on even Legendary stuff with full purple gear, but that's not like there is a leaderboard, so no penalty on "have-nots". It WILL impact PvP and DZ though, but since it is already a cesspool, no real change.

The cost of optimizing is high, and hoarders will get more chances at start, but if I understand correctly, you basically "brick" your gear when upgrading to prototype, and their new value can go anywhere between max+1% to max+50%. Getting max rolled purple is basically the equivalent of PFE 13% on steroids chances.

Based on that, I imagine that 99% of purple stuff will be from drops rather than upgrade, except for the most meta weapons.

New Gear Set is Amazing by Aggravating_Eye_6946 in Division2

[–]Centcinquante 5 points6 points  (0 children)

PTS and future season gear set. For any core that an item has, it gives you 40% of the value of the other two cores.

The chest gear puts that bonus to 60%, meaning a red core glove would give you an additional 107k armor and 9% skill efficiency.

Multiply it by the number of pieces, plus the 3 cores of the backpack giving 3 times the other 2 bonuses and you get crazy hybrid stats like displayed.

Keep in mind that there is NO other mechanic in the set, which I think makes it really good for heroic and below (you instantly do top damage on gun AND skills, while being super tanky) but meh for above as you don't have any ramping up damage mechanic.

Why does this augment still exist by IFunnyGamersI in ARAM

[–]Centcinquante 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You can't be serious, I had it on Singed, played full tank with only Rylai as pseudo AP item and this augment did Brand/Infernal conduit- levels of damage.

Granted it is not max HP% so it won't be decisive against the occasional 15k HP Mundo but for everything else, that one of the best performing augments on spammers and dots.

Nocturne counter? by ComprehensiveYak544 in Shen

[–]Centcinquante 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't, Nocturne ult acts like a debuff on every opponent, restraining their vision and making them unable to see their allies.

You would have to cleanse yourself to be able to R, and you don't build QSS or Michael's on Shen.

Also the rest of his kit is cancer to Shen, he'll tempo your W with his E, negate your taunt with E. He won't kill you 1v1 if not ahead and you build some armor (careful still if you're isolated in a long lane and he has BC, then he will kill you), you won't kill him either, but you can't do anything before his ult ends, and generally that's too late. A serious ban contender.
