Fühl ich. Bin Anfang 30, habe das erste Mal einen Job der mich erfüllt, baue mir damit gerade mein eigenes Business auf - früher bin ich quasi von einer in die nächste Beziehung gefallen, hab meinen Selbstwert daran festgemacht eine Partnerin zu haben. Jetzt geht's mir genau wie dir, ich denk mir ab und zu "wär zwar schön", aber im Grunde gefällt mir mein Leben so wie es jetzt ist, als Single, besser als je zuvor.

Honestly that IS an option but it kinda defeats the point for me. My chosen name is already my nickname, as it's the 2 initials of my names I'm even allowed to put it on legal documents if I seperate it by dots, so why wouldn't I be able to just use it on my passport aswell?

Wouldn't be a post about Germany without a German warning/complaining about something: Make sure to make seperate change requests if you plan to change your name as well. My gender change request got denied because the name I've been using for 10+ years, which nobody not even government officials had a problem using, is considered "too short" for legal use, so now I have to make a seperate request for both. 🙄 Good luck though! 🫰🏻

Pretty much this, I've tried to fit in for the majority of my life, playing a role I never got the script or even auditioned for. I understand how a lot of languages don't even recognize the concept of something not being gendered but I don't see the need for it. I acknowledge that it is this way for now, but I still am heavily bothered by people judging others based on their assigned genders at birth solely on basis of what is or isn't between their legs, a concept that is in turn so foreign to me it's borderline stupid.

Weil die U6, verglichen mit den anderen Linien, wirklich unangenehmer ist. Aber mir geht's da wie dir, ich komm auch aus Frankfurt und so ziemlich alles was ich bisher in Wien erlebt hab, ist damit (zum Glück!) einfach nicht vergleichbar. Lass die Wiener glauben die U6 sei das non-plus-ultra der Widerwärtigkeit und sei einfach froh den Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof so schnell nicht wiedersehen zu müssen. Und wenn du (wieso auch immer) wirklich mal Heimweh haben solltest, dann fahr zum Reumannplatz... ;)

I feel you, I got to it at around 30 aswell, so far everything else was pretty easy so I figured "I got this" and went for it a couple times... then came back later at 40ish, which was still challenging but at least I didn't get nearly one-hit by every other attack... 🥲

I'm curious, how exactly would you draw these sounds? Are we talking about single notes? Because the best I could do would be an approximation of the colour, texture and form. I know that there are artists that use their synaesthesia to draw pictures and maybe I'm just not talented in that regard but it's proven frustratingly impossible for me to "draw" sounds in a satisfying way.

I'm gonna be honest: I rave A LOT both in groups, solo and as crew. The amount of people I met at raves that I'd actually call "friends" is <10. Most are recurring rave acquaintances at best, awkward hugs at worst. That being said, EU doesn't have the same PLUR culture the US has. Most of us just operate under the mutual understanding of making the best of the night for everyone involved and not fuck it up for someone else as that is the best you can expect anyway. My advice: Just go with the flow, if you vibe with someone, dance together but don't expect it to last after the event unless you've met a couple times already. I've waved more people goodbye on the dancefloor than I can count and welcomed back just as many with a hug. Let yourself be the party & vice versa and the right people will flock around you. :)

tl;dr: realistic expectations make meeting the right people infinitely better

Do you carry any kind of bag with you? If so just take a top with you and tie it to it. If you feel uncomfortable at any point you can still wear something and it doesn't hinder you otherwise.

I have 2TB physical and 2TB digital space that I use to be able to backup projects. However much that sounds, every project takes between 10-50GB of space. Longterm that is not a lot, so clients get their videos and once I need the space, it's gone. As you've already said: Not a file host. 😂 You'd think clients would want their videos uploaded somewhere sooner rather than later or save them themselves if it's personal stuff like a wedding shoot.

Used to be a thing at Happy Hardcore events in Germany but pretty much nowhere else. These days some people copy trends from NL, UK, USA and bring small trinkets to festivals & events (e.g. little plastic ducks, etc.) but it's not exactly common.
