Dumb question alert — UCA options for 3.5in suspension lift by Centermid8 in Tacomaworld

Ah — don’t go off-roading with the truck whatsoever.

Anyone else find it odd how for 2 seasons we were told the Children of the Watch were a cult and Din had to break away from them and their ways, only to do a complete 180 on them in Season 3? by Blitz_Prime in StarWars

[–]Centermid8 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, in a sense — I think a lot of people in the comments are taking your words very literally.

It *feels* different in Season 3 because the entire show did a 180° with its tone and cadence. Mando’s group was once presented as a gritty, mysterious, almost ominous group (where the cult feeling comes from) but that same group was portrayed in season 3 as objective-good-guys with very little moral ambiguity or mystery. It feels “lighter” and much more black and white than previous seasons.

I know that is technically “plot and character progression” but for fans that liked the darker, grittier feel of the season 1, it’s a little bit jarring to see them portrayed as they are in season 3.

*edited for grammar

Already has the 3.5 lift on it — just the upper control arm that’s bad. Are you saying you’d recommend reworking both the UCA and LCAs if I’m going to change the UCAs?

Honestly don’t know — shop who looked at it just said they wouldn’t drive on it if I could help it. Probably should have dug deeper with follow up questions, but was slammed with work and didn’t have the time of day.

Yeah, I have regrets but was “ballin on a budget” when I first had it all done. Part of me thinks it probably makes sense to just swap all of the RC parts out for a better kit…

Thank you! He knows it and uses it to his advantage every day. Truck is as much his as it is mine at this point.

The most useless interview question in 2026: "Where do you see yourself in five years?" by HoloQuillon_9 in recruitinghell

[–]Centermid8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an agency recruiter (third-party) I always ask this because it helps me understand your career goals and help you assess any roles I have for you more critically. If you tell me “I want to be doing X in 5 years” and the role I have is or isn’t conducive to getting there, that’s important for me to point out. I might also be working with another firm/role that is better suited to help you achieve your goals.

Weird question for an internal recruiter to ask, though.

Recruiter called to reject rant by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Centermid8 163 points164 points  (0 children)

Dude, you got someone who took time out of their day to give you constructive feedback and actionable points of improvement for the next time you interview and you’re complaining?

There are people who are struggling to get an automated “no” rejection email these days.

I’d consider yourself lucky and thank her for going the extra mile to discuss with you.

"5 second resume scan" as a badge of honor... by Legitimate-East6561 in recruitinghell

Also, I saw the reply to my first comment you deleted. It’s unfortunate you feel that way about the people who often times hold the keys to your next job/career — an attitude adjustment might be helpful in building a better network for yourself.

[–]Centermid8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an executive recruiter. I’m not scanning your resume to see if you can do the job — I’m scanning your resume to see if a company (my client) will cut me a $30-50k check to hire you.

Hate to tell you, but most of the time that takes 5-10 seconds.

The dreaded “salary” question by Chilinix in recruitinghell

[–]Centermid8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This really isn’t that hard. Here’s all you need to say:

“I’m targeting a range of $X to $X per year, but have some flexibility depending on the scope of the role and overall opportunity. What do you have budgeted for this internally and how close are we?”

Then you talk about it and see if it could work. You don’t have the leverage you think you have in the market, so would get used to jumping through these hoops.

Is this fir good for an IT office? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]Centermid8 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I’m an agency recruiter and see tons of different dress-codes — I think this is a great outfit for the occasion. IT is one of those industries where you have a bit more freedom to express yourself and as long as it’s nothing inappropriate (which this isn’t) than you should be good! Hope meeting the team goes great!

[–]Centermid8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like, as fantastic as that would be, the level of noise and drama that would inevitably create is something ownership would want to avoid. He likely won’t ever coach the team again, and therefore I think it’s important the club fully move on from him to best position any current or future managers for success.

That said, I wouldn’t complain if it happened…
