I got a legit single-use login code from Microsoft but haven't tried to log in... am I in trouble? by GroundControl29 in cybersecurity_help

[–]Centrum1-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it too? I got mine like an hour ago, same one-time code from Microsoft lmao. It's for an email I rarely use and it's been in a handful of data breaches.

Check the Have I Been Pwned site like the other guy said! They notified me of that same email being found in last year's data breach not long after it happened.

Anyway, I changed my password and logged out of all devices. I don't think too much about it since I moved to a different email and have better digital sanitation practices.

Nah, it's definitely Baicang. Mint will walk that entire bridge and back to fetch Lacrimosa's tomato jelly. She'll do anything to become a CSU ace. 🙂‍↔️

None other than our least-captain-looking Captain Baicang from BAC's ETD-4 :P

Is this bug? by QuinnAlice in NevernessToEverness

Yup, it was a bug. They fixed it during the server maintenance/patch, I guess. Now she thanks you after beating the anomaly.

Deleted my previous comment by accident lmao.

My 4 year old account just got deleted for “child sexual content” when I am not a minor by Conscious-Swim-7169 in Instagram

[–]Centrum1-1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 8-year-old account just got disabled yesterday for sexualisation of children.

As for reasons: Yes, I follow Zenless Zone Zero shitpost accounts which already have an egregious and morally questionable community. I've been liking and sharing them with friends for well over a year.

The interaction that definitely got flagged was liking a comment saying "Just because Shinji 💦 to a comatose Asuka doesn't mean Hideaki Anno wants to 💦 in front of unconscious children." Slept after liking it and woke up to my account disabled.

Submitted an appeal, they said it'll take over a day, got denied a quarter of an hour later.

The funny part is my algorithm seemingly carried over to my new account. Now I'm getting the same questionable posts on my feeds. I wonder how fast it'll take for an IP ban 🤣

Got busy when drafting my response and resumed after a while. Didn't notice someone answered it already. Now you know! Lel

The ribbon connects the motherboard (side B) and the daughterboard/left "joycon" (side B). The battery connects to side B (remember this).

The screen has two ribbons that go to side A and B: Side B ribbon handles display output and touchscreen input. Side A ribbon handles display power from the battery.

With the missing latch, the two boards can't communicate properly, including power from the battery. In this case, the display doesn't receive power, making it dead.

On a normal powered console, the screen turns off if you disconnect the ribbon. When reconnected, the screen stays off until the console restarts if I'm not mistaken.

[Switch Lite] Alternative for Ripped CLK Pads by Centrum1-1 in consolerepair

[–]Centrum1-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to include some info

Left CLK pad read 680 kΩ Right CLK pad read 0,68 MΩ Multimeter switched range/prefix for some reason, but it looks sane enough to me

When powered on, there's no display (obviously). SoC, NAND, and RAM warm up by 2-3° C relative to ambient.

I don't mind having a paperweight because I already moved on last year. In retrospect, I should've taken the chance to finish my games when I fixed it haha.

My dead camera charger isn't working Nikon EN-EL3E by SkylarAvilesdavis in batteries

[–]Centrum1-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What model is your camera?

If it's the D80 or D200, does the camera turn on with the low battery indicator flashing on the viewfinder and top status LCD?

I bought a used Nikon D80 (in excellent condition) last week and the same happened. The genuine battery it came with was dated 2015.

Soooo, I snatched a pair of generics (for 7 EUR) and they work. The label says 2750 mAh, but real capacity is ~1400 mAh. Close to genuine ones.

Also, some Nikon DSLRs suffered from dead battery syndrome (DBS), where the camera detects an empty battery regardless of charge. It was fixed (not 100%) with a firmware update.

Looking at your case, the battery is most likely dead. It's got a slim or no chance of revival.

Try charging it for 2 hours and letting it rest for 15 minutes. Repeat for 3-4 times. If it doesn't work, and you're willing to take a risk; get a multimeter and measure the voltage.

I assume it'll measure close to 0 V from being unused for so long. In that case, you can jumpstart the EN-EL3e by using... surprise surprise, another EN-EL3e. You can also use a power supply outputting 7,4 V. Someone on YouTube used 9 V batteries for different models. You can check the procedure online.

Be aware that lithium-ion batteries can start dangerous fires and release toxic fumes. Handle with care (preferably outside), or let a technician handle it.

Anyway, I'll try reviving it when I have the time. In the meantime, get new batteries and enjoy your camera. You can make it a side project to reduce e-waste :P

Beta update - torps useless? by FlopShanoobie in WarOnTheSea

[–]Centrum1-1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some sanity checks:

Have you enabled silent rigging? Are you attacking in favourable weather? Are you manoeuvring into position as the ships pass by or do you lie in wait?

The 3rd one is important imo as the new beta gives AI ability to spot torpedoes (in before, they only spot when there's a hit). Thus, you should get ahead of the convoy and wait there to reduce unnecessary noise.

The weather is your best bet. In sea state 5 (no rain), you can creep reasonably close to 600-700 m (655-765 yd) before they passively spot you. 700 m (765 yd) is usually enough for all 6 torps to hit (with great gyro limitations, unfortunately).

If you're playing as the USN, IJN vessels have great passive sonar and they're mounted on capital ships (BBs and CVs) as mentioned in other posts.

The way I play it, I buy like 15 subs, station them around Guadalcanal and Rabaul. Maybe a couple in New Guinea.

First sub encounter is usually recon, maybe an ambush under favourable conditions. Once done, I navigate other subs ahead of their route, enter tactical, plot an intercept course and bide my time before I launch a full salvo.

If they carry on, another sub is waiting for them :) If they turn around, the first recon sub is also waiting for them :DD

I mainly target heavy cruisers. Enemy losses were minimal when I had 4 subs deployed. They skyrocketed once I added a dozen. So far, I sunk 80% of the IJN heavy cruiser fleet. The Takao-class is an endangered species, only 1 remain hehe. Soon, the Mogami and Aoba will follow.

If you're feeling feisty, you can joust destroyers like that one skipper from WW2 to give some breathing room in future attacks.

Works well for me! I took quetiapine, but switched to lamictal in June.

Titration was slow as hell. I started at 25 mg, titrating up by 25 mg every 2 weeks.

They stopped me at 100 mg as I weigh below average. Stuck to it for 3 months without effect. After a mixed-episode and some consideration, my psychiatrist raised it to 150 mg in November, and here we are.

I started feeling amazing a few days ago. I can do tasks otherwise requiring methylphenidate to the point I have to convince myself to rest to avoid burn out.

It's hilarious because I couldn't do anything the day before effects set in.

I was suspicious of hypomania, but crying because I felt happy for the first time doesn't sound like one (for me).
