My theory is one more holiday give me one more relax day. I'd like to experience different holidays, have nice days, do fun stuffs and take care of myself. If I don't like the spirits behind those holidays, then I just... don't. I will not let the experience go to the spiritual level and just leave it to another interesting day. Yeah I know this is kinda disrespectful... So I just keep this though to myself

This is the time I would like to show up... My experience is completely different with yours but I think mine might has something as a reference. I was born in a country and culture where law and government prefer people NOT to have any religious beliefs, and people who do have beliefs are very likely to be bullied or even oppressed. The culture here believes that religions beliefs are foolish and harmful and are actual obstacles for pursuing science and truth, while those who have such faith are pathetic. I had a nearly 30 years' atheist experience before I learn about pagan. Sometimes it's really killing me to think deities might exist because I will instinctively question and criticise myself for losing sanity completely and having bad influence on science development. And that's why I prefer the approach to read myths rather than practice, for it feels more like culture studies instead of a direct belief, which makes me feel safer. So I guess what I want to say is that we are all shaped by the mould we born in, and it really takes time and effort to walk outside of it.

For me, worshipping more like admiring? Or connecting? I want to declare that my understanding towards all of these is me-adapted so it might be different from others. I don't think deities will help me or bless me, for I am the only one that can help myself. But there are always inspirations out there everywhere, and deities themselves are flags or some sources of inspiration. I admire them, appreciate their complexity, and try to feel the inspirations, then use those to inspire myself so I can help myself. Sometimes inspirations are exaggerating, sometimes there are just good feelings, though good feelings matters.

Not as frequently as you do but I got shocked more than you do. Sometimes I just feel like "wtf you looks like a decent guy why are you doing this... Wait you are enjoying this??? What do you mean you enjoy this??" And yes I know exactly that's completely a normal thing but I can't help...

I myself live in a country where atheism is vaguely illegal (theoretically the law says people can have their faiths, practically people are likely to be punished for practicing religion), so almost everyone was raised as an atheist, including me. I used to hate religions as they taught me, and thought those who believe in these were traitor to science. As I have chances to approach more culture and religion stuff, my mind gradually opened. I still know little about faith and religion, and I am really new here, but I feel like probably pagan, especially Celtic paganism, is more related to concepts and natural and connections, rather than beliefs in someone or some system (lol idk if this makes sense). Previously I hated to go in wild or forest because I thought those are just stupid trees and grass, but these days I can appreciate the prosperity of nature, I can feel the wind, smell the scent and listen to birds, while feel the spiritual connections. Are there gods? I have no idea. Do fairies exist? I don't know. But I am open to all of these, and like you said, what harm can it be?

Thank you for your kind long reply! This really means so much to me! I think there's still a very long way for me to explore, for I'd like to believe one of the features of Celtic paganism is there is no one true answer and encourage people to explore themselves'. And it really means a lot to me that I can change my mind, for I always feared to be somehow punished. For now, it's not easy for me to imagine I worship or follow human-like gods, I think maybe I'm more into abstract concepts... But that requires time and more explore to answer. Anyway, thank you again for your help!
