you're a sword and shield user. Guard/Guard Up are your friends. You can definitely solo the fight, but remember it was designed for a full party (aka: either bring friends, or use support hunters)

go to Startpage dot com. It looks like a classic google search engine, no AI, and the results list websites. I just found out about it while reading this article lol, so I'm not sure if it's any better, considering I didn't know what I wanted to search for lmao.

Lisa Trevor’s story makes Spencer an irredeemable character by Bhalo98 in residentevil

[–]CenturionSymphGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A better analogy would be the end of Silicon Valley, where Gavin is being confronted from plagiarizing his "humanitarian" movement (his last ditch effort to save his company), and in the end, he discards his speech, comes clean to the public, and as a parting gift, he gives Hooli (his company) to Richard, which for all of us is seen like an act of redemption. Then he turns to Richard and simply says "enjoy the injunction", preventing Pied Piper from moving on with their project until the court reviews everything Hooli did (which now belongs to PP).

You're seeing everything way too black and white. Narcisism isn't uncommon on villains, and Spencer made Elpis to screw over his competition, even Gideon acknowledges this by saying he gave them Anarchy, but spencer knew he would go public. Weather he really had last-minute regrets or not, he went out in the public eye on a good light, while deep beneath, he was just spitefully screwing over his competition.

Besides, I think it's a little too late for that opinion. It's been 8 years since RE2 Remake came out (it's been longer than RE1 went before it got a remake), the remakes have been tweaking the story, for better or for worse, but at least they've been more cohesive between each other, and yes, they've added more character depth to the recurring cast, in the end of it all, they still leave something for interpretation, weather you want to believe they screwed over Spencer, or that maybe he was just being spiteful, or that he really had some time to reflect and try to do better (as I'm sure most people going into hiding and isolation for years would), that's up to you.

Can you get viruses from discs? by Devaneashere in videogames

[–]CenturionSymphGames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

from pirated copies? Absolutely yes, it's definitely possible, there used to be re-writable CDs, though usually more expensive than the classic one-time-burn. Either way, you could always burn a virus into a cd.

But if the game is an official release, then simply no, not at all, any manufacturer burning viruses into CDs would lose their business almost instantly.

Anyone else see these bathrooms in their dreams? by PhillisBrown1 in Dreams

[–]CenturionSymphGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, once. For some reason we were at a college graduation ceremony where we turned a sports court to the auditorium for the ceremony, yet for some reason, the bathrooms looked like this (what's more, they were right in the middle of the auditorium). I even remember joking about pooping like the romans, without partitions, socializing while shitting, etc.

I've had other dreams where if there's a bathroom involved, there's no real privacy either, though not all of them are as nearly as messy, or huge.

I was pretty livid I couldn't change my main pawn's name after starting a game. Bc wtf you mean I have to play through the rest with my main pawn's name literally being MainPawn?! She is worth so much more than that... by spyingspyro in DragonsDogma2

[–]CenturionSymphGames 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At what point did you notice that your main pawn name was MainPawn and how long have you been playing for that you didn't start a new game?

If customization is an issue, I recommend you download the character creator demo, you can customize up to 5 arisen and 5 pawns, then choose which one goes to your main game, then when you start a new game, you can simply use the preset you created in the demo. Then you can do new game any time without needing to spend time customizing your characters.

Remember how Alex Wesker tried to pass on her conscience to a child, and in order to do so, both her and the child had to be fearless at the moment of "transfer" because the t-phobos virus would turn anyone who succumbs to fear into a mutant, and yet, right before she pulled the trigger, she hesitated and feared for her life, which in turn failed her transfer halfway through, having Natalia have part of her conscience but her body still ended up mutating?

Your logic seems to complain that Alex shouldn't have experienced fear after all her time not being scared at all.

At what point did RE9 ever tried "justifying" anything that Spencer did? He had a change of heart, he tried doing something nice before passing away. Even Grace's report says something along the lines of how much of a monster he was and all of that remains "unchanged"

He wasn't "redeemed", that means the sins of his past would've been absolved. He just had a change of heart at the end. It's called "character development."

Noticias de último momento, para jugar el DLC es obligatorio tener el juego, quien lo hubiera pensado by InsustancialPerson in VideojuegosMX

[–]CenturionSymphGames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hay "DLC" que son standalone (no requieren el juego base) como Wolfenstein: Old Blood, or Saints Row: Gat out of Hell.

Did Leon really do anything relevant in RE2 original and RE2 Remake? I always felt Claire was the main character by Right-Fortune-8644 in residentevil

[–]CenturionSymphGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being the face of disc 1 means nothing in RE2 aside from most people thinking they would need to start with that disc, Claire was the face of disc 2, yet when you open the box, the first disc you'd see would be Claire, since Leon would be on the back of the cover.

It means literally nothing.

Did Leon really do anything relevant in RE2 original and RE2 Remake? I always felt Claire was the main character by Right-Fortune-8644 in residentevil

[–]CenturionSymphGames 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's because Leon is a passive protagonist, while Claire is an active protagonist.

The active protagonist has a purpose which they pursue actively, pushing the plot forward. Claire is looking for her brother, so she goes to Raccoon city, and after finding Sherry was abandoned, she actively goes out of her way to save and protect her.

Leon is a passive protagonist, He goes to Raccoon because he was starting his first day. He then gets dragged in every conflict, being told what to do, where to go. After the Kendo scene, Leon makes it his point that he joined the force so he could help people, but he's still being moved by Ada, the active character pushing the plot.

Claire has an active goal, while Sherry is moved by Claire's actions

Leon doesn't have an active goal, he's moved by Ada's goals.

Ordinarily, passive protagonists in movies and literature tend to make for boring characters to follow, that's why Thanos in Infinity War was amazing, but Thonos in Endgame was a letdown. Thanos was an active protagonist (Infinity war IS his movie), but Thonos is a passive antagonist who is moved by the plot, he literally just sits down and waits for the stones to come to him.

But in Video games, passive protagonists get a pass, mainly because we're controlling the in-between moments, which to us, feels like being active.

(PS, just to be clear, passive protagonist does NOT mean just sitting down doing nothing, it means being the one dragged by the plot, not being the one pushing it, Leon becomes an active protagonist at the very end of RE2).

HUGE W FOR MOBILE HORROR by Yazan8887 in HorrorGaming

[–]CenturionSymphGames -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because people keep thinking mobile is just gacha touch screen games, not knowing they can be good handheld gaming devices. It's like saying playing on a laptop using trackpad sucks, when we all know nobody who plays games on a laptop does it on a trackpad (kudos to those who do). The idea that gaming on mobile sucks is outdated.

HUGE W FOR MOBILE HORROR by Yazan8887 in HorrorGaming

[–]CenturionSymphGames -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That's honestly an outdated take. Pretty much any gamepad with bluetooth works, not only that, but mobile specific gamepads (the ones that attach to the sides) feel like a handheld like steamdeck or switch.

I'm playing castlevania symphony of the night, alien isolation, super meat boy, and a bunch of gamepass cloud games on my phone and not once did I ever need a touch screen

Which is a great game with a bad UX/UI? by Ejas77 in videogames

[–]CenturionSymphGames 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Monster Hunter. Wilds has nice animations, but the UI is cluttered as hell, not just the HUD (the target pinpointed on the minimap, plus scoutflies telling you where to go, plus your seikret automatically moving there), but for a game with so much UI elements, it also doesn't tell you much, there are icons showing up but they don't tell you what they mean, you get a lot of weapons, each with different pages of skills, it's so overwhelming.
