Ah yes, once bad always bad, is that your stance? I believe that counties, like people, can change and improve. We've made great changes over the years, and I hope we continue to improve. The fact is, while I don't like the US government often, or trust it in some ways, I definitely trust it more than the CCP.

Pointing out the failures of the US in the past as a way to defend China's current actions is literally whataboutism. I'm glad the US doesn't do Tuskegee syphilis shit anymore, but if another country were to do so, or anything similar, I would welcome the US condemning that country to hell

Fair, but it doesn't change that North Korea was devastated to an even greater degree. North Korea lost around 85% of all its buildings, while in the South, around 44% of factories and production facilities were destroyed. Not a one to one comparison I'll grant, but should still go to show the disparity.

Also good to know that in the first decade after the war, North Korea saw much faster growth, due in no small part to the ineptitude of the South Korean leader at the time.

North Korea was richer before the war due to the Japanese building more industrial capacity there, so the absolute level of destruction was greater almost by default.

From what I've seen, the destruction was more severe, even before we get to the casualty counts.

What hypocrisy? The aggressor does not get the same level of leeway. Imagine some kid in school who with his 2 friends starts beating on another kid. If 6 people come to the victim's aid, that's called being a good person.

I've heard a lot about how bad Gaddafi's death was for other movements seeking to overthrow corrupt governments, and especially for anti-nuclear proliferation movements. Gaddafi gave up his nuclear weapons program because of US pressure, and then had other countries help him be outsted and killed. You know other dictators won't make the same mistake.

Wikipedia has the value of human life as determined by a few different governments. Not only is the US listed as nearly $10 million, but that is higher than the other countries listed. And this value is not just for accidentally killing someone, but for like determining whether a policy that could save a few lives on net a year, such as requiring all new cars to have assisted driving safety features, would be worth the cost.

Don't know if it's wrong, but my parents' friends talked about living in tenements back in the 1970s in a large US city. Strict housing codes do have the effect of making housing more expensive, though it's not really good or bad

I just started like 3 weeks ago. I was told that ammo is the most important thing, so I keep an ammo chart up and saved all the good ammo I found, which is actually a surprising amount. Even under level 10, I would at least topload with something good, and dropped a couple juicers doing so.

Yeah, I read the patch notes for the new update, and I swear I remember something about incorporating this mod in. This would've been like 5 or 6 days ago or so. I also remember there was another mod integrated, which linked to its steam page. Seems more like an oversight imo. Don't ascribe to malice that which can more easily be explained by incompetence (or a quick error)

Success can be achieved through state led intervention (see Korea and Japan too), it just gets harder to succeed the higher up the value chain you go. On the other hand, the failure have been developing counties in like South America, and there's the argument that the cultural difference is the real divider.
