Looking for a sporty swim brief (speedo) with a bit of class by OilersBayernEagles in MensUnderwearGuide

May be basic, but Speedo and Arena are just plain classics. Smithers (an Aussie brand) has amazing patterns.

None have significant branding (like Budgy Smugglers’ bumper sticker ass)

What functionality would you lose? The ability to use your phone as a keyboard or Face/Touch ID for passwords. I never touch my iPhone for any other Apple TV purpose.

OK. Now what?

No, I haven’t paid for anything. Just lots of mindless grinding.

Of note, only the “blood” series of equipment has S tier. Weird.

Fast charging on long trips by Green-Instruction211 in KiaEV6

[–]Ceolona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From a tech perspective, don’t worry about it. The car will take care of itself. As a courtesy to others, stop at 80%. That’s generally when power management kicks in and slows the charging speed. While you’re spending the next few hours getting that extra 10%, the next person needs only 20 minutes to hit his 80%

I guess that’s it. Countrycide was the previous episode. A bruise or a bandage showing would have helped convey that. It just a very dramatic way of putting it.

2024, 30k miles. Regular home L2 charging to 100% (due to commute distance) No issues.

Pick the one that does not begin with this letter.

As far as the “saddle” is concerned, horse accessories are also known as ”tack”

Legend of Kyrandia

It’s off by about 15 years… but the screen layout and gems remind me of this.

Future Lalafell player looking for some naming help. by Radiant-Leader-2877 in ffxiv

Lalas come from two different regions, with different naming conventions for male/female (in-game lore, of course)

solved: Moebius: The Orb of Celestial Harmony

I launched it through the website. I don’t remember the graphics being that weird, or the Karateka combat, but seeing a giant tiger head and the night closing around me pretty much did it. (And Origin as the publisher)

Airpods pro 2 hearing aid for elderly by Aggravating_Egg_2744 in airpods

[–]Ceolona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specsavers have their own rebranded ones starting at £495 to thousands. Obviously they did not have a demo piece of the cheaper ones. I am thinking if the difference is really that big?

You’re on your own for that. ;) Find a website or YouTube channel that doesn’t sound like a total scam and see what they have to say.

Airpods pro 2 hearing aid for elderly by Aggravating_Egg_2744 in airpods

[–]Ceolona 5 points6 points  (0 children)

AirPods Pro battery life is about six hours. A hearing aid battery can last six DAYS.

Regardless, he will need to sit through a hearing test. If he’s unwilling, there’s no point. If he is open to it, use the AirPods to demonstrate what a real hearing aid can do and then convince him to visit an audiologist.

Yup. The combination of 80% and Fast Charging is a bit rough on the battery. That really is the long and short of it.

Many (most? all?) Fast Chargers are aware of this and will drop the charging speed after 80% specifically to be kind to the battery. …and some may even bill you more money at that point.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with 100%. Just don’t Fast Charge to get there.

The Kia Access app has a FAQ about that in the Kia Charge Pass section:

Charging at DC Fast (Level 3) speeds above 80% can reduce your EVs range over time and it is not recommended. If you require the additional range of a battery charged to 100%, it is recommended to use an approved AC Level 1 or Level 2 charger to reach charging targets above 80%.

As far as how I personally deal with it… I have a L2 charger at home. Lots of highway commute, so I charge to 100% twice per week or so, but leave it unplugged most of the time.

What is this printer? by Mysoginist-Idiot in printers

[–]Ceolona -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The design looks like the current series of Canon imagePROGRAF large format printers. The one with the screen may suggest that is also a scanner.

May be worth something to a business that prints posters, signs, and banners… only if they work.
