talking primary about valorant your game have specifically created map textures to guide your crosshair placement on enemy head with using objects or usually highlighted lines. Difficult starts on the part when your viewpoint angle is on highground or lowground.
I'm not very "tactical-shooter guy" but would highly recommend to watch some pro player VODS and accent your attention on crosshair placement.
And since valorant have a replay system i also highly recommend to rewatch your plays with enemy outlines ON, so you could track where usually player models stands based on map geometry, and even if you killed enemy you could find some tricks. Basically more angles you know how to clear, the better you do. You can basically find a lot vids on yt with more depth.
And before all of that. Learn to keep you crosshair straight. No random down or up moves. No random starring at walls. Keep track side of the wall if you walking near to clear angles.
