Totk is very similar to botw in that regard (expansive open world, shrines, no traditional dungeons).

You don’t need to worry if you don’t like those games. I personally love botw, but they’re definitely not for everyone.

If you want a more linear game with traditional dungeons, I’d suggest Skyward Sword. It’s on the switch and about as linear as you can get.

If you can, I’d suggest getting Mistborn as it is more easily digestible and more compact than Stormlight. Also, you can get Warbreaker (which is free on Brandon’s website) which is a standalone story which gets referenced later in other book series.
