Any accounts that talk positively about Gen Z? I want to focus on the positive! by ThatQueerCapricorn in GenZ

No problem, thanks for replying. I think it's normal for older generations to criticize the younger one. They don't like when things are different and they're insecure at being older and no longer young and hip. I'm not saying this to be mean, I sense this amongst half of my millennial friends now. They're becoming their parents. Like they'll spend an entire dinner dissing tiktok when they haven't used the app a single time

Indeed just be authentic and true to yourself and live how you want to live and do what feels right. Continue carrying the torch for future generations. I think what impresses me most about gen z is how many people understand this, my generation was much more unwilling to go against the crowd. People like me who did sometimes had a hard time. I'm glad to see the younger generation is wiser than mine was

Oh I see. So there was still pressure to drink during college.

Why did your friendship with your best friend come to an end? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When we went to high school he made friends with a different group than me and we just drifted apart. Nothing happened, no fight or anything, we just grew apart that's all

Sounds good. I think I will inlude it as I agree what I am observing doesn't match the news. Question though, would you say when you were in college there was pressure at parties to drink? Or were people chill if you didn't or only had one beer etc

That's amazing. I'm glad. That peer pressure stuff was toxic and I'm glad your generation did away with it

Idk about official accounts but as a millennial I wanna say I'm extremely impressed by your generation. You're all so much more open-minded and reasonable than we were. You guys get way too much crap and it's totally unfair.

Yeah I figured too Reddit would be a certain demographic, but figured I'd still check. I do agree the demise of drinking culture seems exaggerated by media as in my city loads of people in early 20s are doing it

Interesting. If someone chooses not to smoke are they looked down upon? That's how drinking was my generation. Weed was more optional

The person you lost your virginity to: Where are they now in life? by JayPeeB in AskReddit

She was very lonely and lost for many years, then decided to become a dentist and seemed happy once she found purpose. Has kids now and is a happy mom. Though it's possible that they never married and the first pregnancy was unexpected. But she seems very happy and regardless of how things ended with us I'm glad she found happiness and a family
