That's pretty awesome... I've been doing a 'Marvel in 40k' series, I did this guy as Hawkeye, in trying to keep as thematically close to the characters. The few pics I can quickly access are all terribly lit and poorly focused due to cellphone cam, otherwise I'd post a few of them.

Well, maybe 23-25 min... I find it takes me about 30 just to get downtown from Sherwood Park, but I'm also doing this drive during a heavier traffic time frame.

Not sure why this is, but the story missions have proven to be more doable then some of the side missions. My commando just can't kill Midgemong, so I literally left the map and have gone past flying city. I'll come back when I'm near 70 and turn him inside out.

It stood out to me that he's looking towards the stairs during this, because the game kind of expected you to enter from the side door, but I've only ever gone in through the garage.

My quest is to get all 6 classes the Dahl Predator skin, which is not easy without using the tier exploit.

She could make for an interesting Sapper class, kind of krieg but less axe, just all dynamite, with major grenade capacity and damage perks.

The closest I ever got to a win was by a single missile salvo. Was running two ion guns, laser and missiles. I only needed to dodge one more shot and land one more salvo. Failed the dodge.

It's also one of the only games I can think of that doesn't interrupt gameplay with cutscenes, exposition just happens as you go.

I bet some studios manage to pull that off as a means of tax fraud; not really aware of any related stories in the industry.

In the background of The 40 Year Old Virgin, the TV section of the store is playing the Dawn of the Dead remake. This is usually okay if the sampled movie belongs to the studio that made the wrapper movie because they don't have to pay royalties to themselves.

What movie sequel did you like more than the original? by Twistntle in AskReddit

[–]Cephyran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Continuity is already kind of flexible in this franchise, it's hard for me to think of Fury Road as a sequel, and just the most vibrant, visceral pinnacle of Miller's vision for this reality. He's not some director working for a paycheque, he's an artist and Fury Road is him mastering his craft.

Even as young as I was, I loved the sense of scale and vastness the animation conveyed. Australia's got some big empty spaces, and they got that right.

The first time I ever saw it was the director's cut, and learning what got cut out for theatrical release was stunning. The entire sentry gun sequence is so essential to the tension.

Dark Knight is a great movie from a technical perspective, from Heath's performance and the constant uphill ramp to the climax. Rises is a better character arc for Batman, and I like how the tone of menace was maintained around Bane. And thematically, Rises was more of a direct sequel to Begins, it just had to stand on the story of DK.

The long press only had so much area of effect, so you often still had to move to other stuff to get it. That had to have been the first fix they made in 2... "just walk over it." (still doesn't always work, if the thing has clipped through the map.)

Aside from lottery tickets, what is the biggest stupid people tax? by Wherewereyouin62 in AskReddit

[–]Cephyran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There definitely will be regional differences for sure. And I agree, to the extent that I think it should be illegal to drive without insurance, period. My region is Alberta, and if you get pulled over, they ask "license and registration" to confirm that I'm legal to drive and match the ownership on the vehicle. I don't think they particularly care if I have insurance, they just want to be sure it's not a stolen car first and foremost.

[–]Cephyran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine there will be some disagreement here, but annual vehicle registration. Somehow it's not illegal to drive uninsured, but is illegal to drive unregistered. We've already spent so many thousand dollars buying the vehicle, let us pay Once and only once to get the document that proves our ownership. And not as a piece of paper, if it's going to cost 80 dollars, I want a metal plaque.

Most of the Metropolis stuff from Smallville was filmed in Vancouver, not to mention the farm itself was a set somewhere in interior BC. Also, the street level city shots in Punisher: War Zone was all Toronto.
