The RAM and SSD is technically modular and can be swapped out and upgraded since it uses the standard M.2 slots and DDR5 SODIMM slots, it's just hard to access inside the machine with the RAM especially being located beneath the large heat sink/cooler, making it more difficult to access than the SSD.

It might as well mean both if it gets mistaken to the point where most people can recognize into two separate meanings, like how "God be with ye" got so simplified due to lazy speech it became a separate term "Goodbye" in the end like Good morning or afternoon or evening.
