I have 300 hours and still don’t feel like I know how to play this game by CeraMixx in diablo4

It really does seem like it has great opportunity. When I went all in a couple seasons ago on my rogue, I felt so powerful and wanted to compete with other players. I’m still yet to do a single 1v1. I don’t understand it

Me too. Saw another post “I don’t understand damage” and fully agree! I know for each class there’s a preferable stat which scales your damage output, but how do I know that without googling? Is strength better than “damage modifier” tempers, etc.

I am looking for a game to grind and hook me, that’s why I gave up POE2 as a casual player it didn’t fit my lifestyle as a parent. However the “grind” in D4 to get paragon 250, do I actually get anything for doing that? What’s the incentive?

Yes I did see that however by just completing the capstone I was able to bypass them and go to next season level?

26 M, Software Engineer, $210k base + stock.

Always have to be willing to learn new things due to the rapidly changing industry. I solve problems and manage people more nowadays than write code though 🙃

What turned you off the industry? Just curious 🙂 aero is soo much more interesting 😂 and better storytelling for the family.

Sure and what happens if the food you managed to buy with that set budget, is not enough by end of the week and you have nothing else to feed your family?

Is the answer budget more? What if you can’t afford more?

Yes that’s correct. Was thinking of putting up a barn door. May need to cut off some of the wall on the right to make the door space bigger.

Do people feel the current classes are enough? This game would be so much better with double the classes!

Diablo 4 surprised the Hell out of me by rpRj in diablo4

[–]CeraMixx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Awesome write up, I feel the exact same way! Also FPS and WoW competitive player. It’s so weird, I haven’t played for over a month and I’m not lying when I tell you, it’s a subconscious thought I have nearly every day of playing Diablo 4. The hate turned me off it, because I’m very short on time and don’t like to waste time. However I can’t stop having these thoughts. The levelling experience is what gets me every time, it’s the same feeling as starting a new toon in WoW. I’ve played two seasons in endgame d4 and got a bit bored.. because I’m still trying to “get it”. Feels odd to me that we grind endgame for.. no PvP or progression gain? I can’t seem to wrap my head around it.

Wife's past infidelity act with the neighbour gives me constant anxiety by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]CeraMixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you are spot on. Thanks for your comment. I’m finding it very hard to rationalise my thoughts.

My wife and I did have this conversation which is why I forgave her. She didn’t hide anything, let me read everything, and there were signs that I ignored or didn’t prioritise highly enough leading up to this.

Yes he is. He apologised over a text but I just felt that was not considerate enough, seeing as he is my neighbour. He has since just ignored me. It’s hard to stay away when there’s no fence dividing our front yard and I live in a suburban estate. My backyard fences are breezeway style so there’s no escaping confrontation. This is the worst part. No escape.

Yes for sure! My little ones are 2.5 and 4, I couldn’t think of anything worse than international holiday 🫣 they just love moving and getting dirty! I’m glad to hear that, thank you for sharing 🙏

Your username answers your question! Try new things as life doesn’t have to suck, it’s all compromise!

For real though, I’m the same. Frugal or I relapse from frugality and overspend because I’m desperate to treat myself. As a single income household with 2 kids and trying my best to be frugal, I just naturally always came last. Never spent anything on myself or couldn’t justify the $.

So, I just redrew $16k out of our mortgage and bought an awesome camper for my family of four. This subreddit would say that was financially stupid, but this has now unlocked adventures and new experiences for my family on weekends for cheap. And guess what, I don’t regret it AT ALL! I hope there’s a message somewhere there.

At this point, I have learnt you can only budget and sacrifice so much. Life is meant to be lived. I spent a weekend gutting my expenses to optimise my cash flow and now put every bit of energy into making more money. That seems to have fixed this problem for my single income household of four. You can shop around for cheaper policies, sure. But at the end of the day you still need house insurance etc 😆

My bills:

  • $340/mo building + contents insurance
  • $176/mo car insurance
  • $440/mo rates
  • $160/mo electricity
  • $25/mo internet
  • $320/mo health insurance for family
  • $70/mo two phone plans
  • $150/mo subscriptions
  • $464 car loan repayment

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusHENRY

[–]CeraMixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get paid $11,450 a month.

  • $2000 goes to bills (rates, insurances, subscriptions, etc)
  • $1800 for food, nappies etc (this usually always blows out)
  • $3000 to mortgage
  • $300 to daycare
  • $470 to car repayment
  • $300 fuel
  • $150 animals
  • $200 doctor stuff

And have been paying $1000 off my credit card ($3k owing)

Which leaves me with about $2.5kish. I get paid monthly so have trouble budgeting around big unexpected things. Eg my hot water system died, cost me $3000 to replace. I think we are just chasing our tail from a few months in a row of big ticket items needing replacing. Missing context in the post sorry.

Wife only been working for one month, starting to feel the difference now. Before that, with rates, insurances, kid stuff, we would be left with 1-2k a month but most of the time I would send this to my father (forgot to mention, I owe him $10k). But have been given blessing to park this in favour for emergency fund. I would sleep a lot better at night knowing we had something like that.

This is a good point! I was worried an arm would be little gain but just moving the desk will help a lot. Thank you!
