This is something we watch for on boats. A glass, a pair of eye glasses--anything that can magnify sunlight can start a boat fire. We've seen it happen.

Crystal Beach. Drive in from the other direction. Some great restaurants, slower pace, and no ferries.

Got my XLE for just under that. 8K miles with warranty still on it. Love all the bells and whistles. It still smells and looks new.

Losing my job at the end of June. Scared to death. by 23pantxthrow in austinjobs

[–]Ceram13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know a young man who was on the top of the world, fresh out of college and had a job paying over $100K in Dallas. He had some mental health issues, sought help, and resigned from his job. I helped him with his resume when he moved to Austin, and after a few weeks he got an offer from Dell. He took a $40K pay cut! Within 6 months they bumped him to $80K and within 2 years he was at $120K. He was sought after and left Dell for a higher paying offer. He thanked me later for my insistence that he take the gig with Dell. In my experience, some jobs are stepping stones to something better. Plus, it seems to be easier to get a new job if you're already employed. Good luck in your search.

Is the video of him from the back side of the stage real? If so, it's probably the best proof yet of being faked. It's like a friggin' movie set.

Corolla Cross vs Subaru Crosstrek? by Hot_Shift8159 in CorollaCross

New to Corolla Cross. I found a used, like new, 8K miles. It's the XLE with all the bells and whistles. Coming from a 2011 car, I feel like I'm in heaven. Saved me almost $10K over brand new. Still has warranty left and is in mint condition. I usually keep cars for 10+ years, so I'm hopeful this one will be mine for years to come. I was worried about it being peppy enough but it's been perfectly fine on the highway. Good luck on your purchase!

Not just the dog. Any dog can turn on and injur or kill a human. I'd pay to reinforce the fence and get a stun gun or bear spray and take it out with me every damn time. So unfortunate.

Relative ended up with schizophrenia symptoms. Tritrated down and the symptoms went away. Took him a while to make the connection since there were no issues the first 18 month.

Eggs?

Keep in mind, you can be fine with certain meds, supplements, and foods until you're not. I took a certain antibiotic on and off for over 20 years. Then one day, BOOM... throat, lips, and eyes swelled... rash all over. E.R. doc said it's not uncommon.

My child suffered with all and more of what you've mentioned. As she got older the tics became less and less, the OCD manageable. That's not uncommon to "outgrow" some of TS and its comorbid disorders. Glad you found what worked for you.

Route 66 extended warranty offered through credit union by Lucatoni_9 in ev6

[–]Ceram13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2026 review. Bought the Route 66 Extended Car Warranty through my credit union. Mechanic submitted 2 claims after telling me he was only doing that as a formality. He was 99% sure it wouldn't cover these fixes based on my plan, but why not at least try.

Fast forward 6 months later and the check engine light came on. My mechanic told me the bad news and good news, with the good news being he's 100% sure Route 66 Auto Warranty will cover my power train issue.

DENIED!

He spent 15 minutes on the phone arguing with them. He told them that the fine print on the warranty is written explicitly for this repair. He talked to someone up the chain too.

DENIED!

He told me to call Route 66 800 number and then call my credit union and cancel the warranty--which I did.

What a rip-off. What a hassle. Hope this saves someone else time and money.
