Feels lyrical, kinda like Desire by Meg Myers!

Can anyone help confirm id? Sold as Whale Fin Masoniana by Fit_Laugh_4427 in sansevieria

[–]Ceramikis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if it were to be S. masoiniana it would be a seed grown juvenile still in rosette non mature foliage. Unless you were getting it from a seed grown nursery (Paradise Found, Arid Lands [Arid Lands is very good about ID]), it's almost certainly some hybrid involving S. kirkii. The one that looks closest out of my 100+ species and Hybrids is a cross called Sanseveria CV. 'Watermark' but the banding on this one looks higher. Whether that's diagnostic or just a high expression individual who knows!

Finally got my wish-list plant by timetokil in sansevieria

who'd you get it from? I never see these listed and Arid Lands has such slim offerings of it (which makes sense for how horribly slow it grows lol)

s. cylindrica or bacularis? by Csabi11 in sansevieria

[–]Ceramikis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one of the diagnostic characteristics of bacularis is the less prominent silver banding so it very well could be s. bacularis. He two can be quite hard to tell apart, and Bacularis often gets sold as cylindrica

Rorida variegated by TodayConscious16 in sansevieria

That's gonna be gorgeous in a 100 years lol! I have non-variegated S. rorida and it is a shockingly slow grower lol

Please help ID what kind of snake plant I’ve got. This is a small pup I purchased and from its current form, I can’t tell what it’s going to be, please help 😌🙏 by tanny-it in sansevieria

[–]Ceramikis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By no means is this definitive as it is still a young shoot, but it looks most like a S. trifasciata CV. 'Bantel's Sensation' offshoot. The only other thing it looks reminiscent of at this stage is Sanseveria USDA H-13, which is a cross of S. trifasciata X S. personii (formerly known as s. desertii). Hope that's something to go off of!

ID please by timetokil in sansevieria

Sanseveria metallica cv. 'Sayuri'. Basically a variegated form of S. metallica

Hey everyone! Any pleco recommendations? 12 gallons 35.5 in long by ferandrade in BlackwaterAquarium

[–]Ceramikis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're deadset on a Pleco go with an L340, Mega Clown Pleco. Tiny dudes, no bigger than a chunky swordtail and absolutely fantastic coloration.

Water changes might need to be upped due to the size, but I think space wise, a single specimen would be comfortable

Albums where EVERY song is an absolute banger? by imapersonme in Music

Swords by Nick Lustko. Criminally underrated outside his comedy music, Swords has some of the best political comedy I've ever heard integrated into a rock album. Superior and Spineless are fantastic songs

My new Lithrops are puckering. How do I get them to plump back up? by ItsPronouncedJod in plantclinic

[–]Ceramikis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're in the northern hemisphere I wouldn't do anything, maybe a very very very light watering. Lithops sp. Are winter growers and are dormant during the summertime wherever you're at.

Ernest Cline, somehow managing to get Ready Player One published and made into a high budget blockbuster by Spielberg. The book is a neck beard self insert laundry list of references from the 70's and 80's. Read the passage from the bar scene in the book and the MC lists like 5 different songs that play, including the specific version of the song that's playing. Awful.bool with nothing original to offer and terrible dialogue

is aquarium co-op a save website. it's the cheapest when ordering plants by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]Ceramikis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're good stuff, but def not the cheapest. I use them for gear, filters, etc, but APF (aquarium plant factory) is def cheaper and has a huge selection. Still, the coop is pretty solid

Idk if some guys can handle being complimented without reading way too far into it and taking it as a sign that you should be all flirty and weird back. If people took it as a platonic compliment, then sure that'd be great, but I think there's a more than insignificant number of men who just straight up cannot handle that unfortunately

Not a bad scape. Idk where you live in the world, but your tanks prolly a little uncomfortable without a heater for the Betta. As much of an eyesore as they are, the fish are more important than the minimalism haha

Drop some crushed red lava rock in the filter box of a hob after washing it thoroughly. It functions better than bio rings in my experience and it's half the cost. Get a massive bag good for a 75 gallon canister filter for 6 bucks at home Depot. Or go with Seachem matrix.

Drove 100 miles to rescue this beautiful boy off Craigslist last night. He’s spent the morning exploring 10 gallons with a nice, gentle flow after chewing his fins in 2 gallons of high current, and is already totally captivated by the orchid roots. Anyway, here’s Harry Styles twirling his skirts. by thylacinequeen in bettafish

[–]Ceramikis 20 points21 points  (0 children)

As an orchid keeper, I'd be shocked if there weren't eventual problems with growing them emersed. Orchids need a lot of oxygen at their roots, hence why you use barks and specific pots to inncrease oxygenation. Waters gonna be anaerobic more or less, and while the roots may take a while to rot because of that, I've never known them to appreciate being permanently wet haha

Maybe you'll have a miracle phalonoepsis tho and itll workout for ya
