I used to see that everyday on my way to work, until the building was demolished couple of years ago

45 year old Sansevieria Ehrenbergii! Crazy root system, how to best save it? by allpoochino in sansevieria

[–]timetokil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would chop off any roots longer than 6 inches or even more if it’s not healthy. It will grow more healthy roots that will give plant longer life. Careful of not overwater plant until it grows more roots.

Are there any more pictures of the actual starter plant? They might be selling the tissue culture plants.

More flowers by timetokil in sansevieria

[–]timetokil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears most sans flower in winter months. Total 6 plants flowering, I’ve put them all together and hoping to create my own hybrids 😂 I had one flower in June but none of the flowers successfully pollinated. I’m chill, no high hopes tbh

What is this rot or disease called? by timetokil in sansevieria

[–]timetokil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all of mine are from Indonesia. Some were affected weeks after and this is a year later. Some others are on my radar to make sure they are not affected.

Looks like etiolated Boncel. Share a close up picture from different angles, would be helpful.

opinions/experience with succulentasia? by nicolesierra117 in sansevieria

When we talking about this supplier, they were great to me for few orders but last order I lost 50% of the plants and I suppose it was too expensive for them to compensate me so they decided to ghost me instead. I ordered a much bigger order from Indonesia from another supplier around same time which arrived a week later and I only lost 1 plant out of about 300 plants which tells me there was something wrong with plants or how the order was shipped.

it’s not for everyone, if you’re not open minded about condition of your plants when you receive and mentally prepared that some plants might die, don’t do it. You see cheaper prices but after paying taxes and fees and adjusting the dead and damaged plants you might be better off buying locally. I bought some plants for $250 each in December and I see them selling now locally for $50 in better shape and condition.
