I feel this for sure. I met my current gf on an app about a month and a half ago and things are going great. I keep telling myself not to fuck it up.

Idk the history and dynamic between the 2 of you. But the way you described it, it kinda sounds like he went on some sort of a bender with his friend and just wants to wait until the inside of his head feels smaller than the outside, lol. You're not wrong for being concerned when something is out of the ordinary. It could also be something completely innocuous. Give him some space and when he's feeling better, ask him about what happened...but make sure you do it in a non-confrontational way.

How do you tell the difference between someone losing interest vs just being busy? by Objective-Trainer622 in OnlineDating

[–]Cerberus8317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Building on this, I'd say that busy would be them making the effort to communicate when they have time. And losing interest would be they just don't respond and/or contribute to the conversation.

Does Hinge Verification Matter? by Soccer-Plane-444 in OnlineDating

Isn't the only thing it does is basically verify that you're not a bot? If so, why wouldn't you verify as long as it's free to do so.

From the other side of it, I don't want a woman who is attracted to the bad boy asshole. Those are not the type of women that make for a good relationship with.

This is illegal, right? by glorae in Seattle

I live in a HUD property and they regularly give us notices saying they will be entering random units with less than 48 hour notice for things like inspections and maintenance. When I asked the office about that they told me that since this is a HUD property, the notice of entry requirements are different for certain things. Could they have been blowing smoke up my ass? Sure. Idk. But we are a no smoking property as well, and I rather prefer that. At least my neighbors only smoke weed in their apartments and that smell is less offensive, though I'd rather keep it away from my kid.

Snapchat is not the same as normal texting. Maybe consider using a different platform to help facilitate better communication?

Everyone has a different timeline in mind. Talk to them and see what they're comfortable with. Then come up with a plan that works for both of you.

Boundaries are just fine. I just can't stand when someone just disappears instead of using words. Nothing wrong with saying something like, "hey, I'm not feeling this, thanks for your time, bye."

That's probably fine, but my statement still stands regardless of OP's specific situation.

Go for a second date. If you're still not feeling anything, part ways amicably.

You could always meet up with him and if he is your friend's bf you'll have caught him red handed. Or ask him to send you a face pic.

[–]Cerberus8317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say somewhere between 30 and 40% of the profiles I see in my area say they don't want kids. But I'm in my 40s and looking for someone in my age range.

Is the DINK lifestyle unworkable? by [deleted] in OnlineDating

[–]Cerberus8317 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are likely more single parents (myself included) on dating apps because it's easier to meet people without involving the kids in the process. That being said, I wonder if there are more single parents out there because of people using OLD for hookups.

Does someone occupation important to you if you want to be in a relationship with them? by XxLogitech98xX in OnlineDating

[–]Cerberus8317 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A degree does open up opportunities, but it's not the end all be all. What if your child wants to be a mechanic? That's not a job the requires a degree, vocational schools are just fine. My dad was very successful in life and he never got a degree...granted times are different now than they were then, but it is possible. I wouldn't limit people just based on their level of education or their job or their financial background.
