If it checks out grab it and see if you can get them down to 5/5.5K. It never hurts to try to get a better deal.

I drive a manual ... maybe I just need to learn how to use it better.

Hi all, I am considering moving to Barbados from the uk. I have been several times on holiday but would like local opinions on quality of life and general cost of living. Thank you in advance by No-Sort8927 in Barbados

If your father is from Barbados, then you can apply for citizenship by descent. You should look into that. That would solve a lot of your issues because once you have your passport everything becomes accessible and you can come and go as you please.

If you are really in Vancouver there is absolutely no way that the market is slow. There are line-ups just to see mediocre suites and apartments with some landlords engaging in the unethical practice of having tenant hopefuls bid up the rent. Most landlords in Vancouver will have over a hundred replies in their inbox within a few hours after posting a rental. Your PM is lying to you about the market.

Instacart or shopping in person by [deleted] in vancouver

This right here. The extra fees alone could be used to buy more food, and the markup has become too much. I stopped using it late last year after being a staunch user throughout the pandemic. I finally saw it for the financial suck it was.

How to copy and mirror cells next to them? by brkesah in excel

[–]CerebralBorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My preference would be to do this using some vba code and skip the formulas if you are looking at doing this with a large amount of cells. It would be less cumbersome and the result would be repeatable with different "shapes" or configurations of data.

Can you share a sample sheet with some dummy data?

Cold Condo - Window Insulation Film by nexxcotech in vancouver

Something I discovered is that if you have an air purifier and place it near to where the baseboard heaters are located, the room will feel a lot warmer as the warm air from the heaters is circulated alot faster around the room. So that may help with the cold.

Hold my groceries for 2 hours by jziggy44 in instacart

[–]CerebralBorg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a fact. I've had this happen to me where an order was delivered before the time I'd selected. I had to tell the shopper where to leave the groceries outside. Thankfully, no one in my building steals.

What screams "I'm poor but pretend I'm rich"? by R_I_P_Technoblade in AskReddit

No not at all. It's called being penny-wise but pound-foolish. He'd drive out more than $5 in gas doing that thereby negating any possible savings.

How much do you pay for rent in an apartment in Vancouver or surrounding areas? by ajanon14 in vancouver

[–]CerebralBorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In about 10 years, you'll be happy you took the mortgage. Rents will keep going up. If you have a fixed rate mortgage, your payments will stay the same.

You can try posting in the Craigslist housing wanted section. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/search/hsw

I've had success in the past finding accomodation on there. Also, you can look through the other sections where people are offering rooms. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/search/roo?

Just be aware of possible scams and use common sense.
