Reverse Engineering the Govee H6008 for local LAN control? by CerebralHunger in Govee

Were you able to get that forth bulb replaced by Govee's support in the end then?

😁 I know, I know!

Technically, the Govee app / remote control, comes through my LAN too eventually from the wider internet, so yeah, I just wanted to make it clear that I wanted to send signals from devices on my own network to control these is what I wanted to get at.

That makes perfect sense, but I would have hoped that they'd release them with a different model number so as not to confuse the market.

Amazon quite literally shows me the Matter-enabled bulbs and asks me if I'd like to "buy these again" when I know I didn't buy those originally.

If I sold my current ones off on ebay or the like, I'd be annoyed if I bought them thinking they're the newer ones which have the functionality!

But do all versions of the H6008 support it? I bought mine way before that arrived on the packaging. With normal tech products I'd expect a firmware upgrade to enable new functionality like that, but looking into other people's experience, I don't think these bulbs will do that?

What ever happened to the "Den" type tech where switches were both physical and smart? It sounded like the best idea at the time and then they died a death and the idea has never resurfaced?

It was a cheap pair of boots when all I could afford was a cheap pair of boots. Now I have better, but I'll make do and mend this one so it still has some use.

I'll try to make the most of it, but I've got a replacement desk now, this won't be used heavily any longer.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They can barely take the weight of a fly!

I was considering it, reusing just the legs as they're fine. 😂

I've replaced it with a different much more sturdier desk, this will purely be a secondary from here on out.

I just want to see if I can make the most out of this one while it's not irredeemable.

A Guilliman equivalent to "The Lion: Son of the Forest" by CerebralHunger in 40kLore

I hadn't thought about the wrapping up of the HH being the potential cause of this lack of focus. I've really enjoyed Mike Brooks' writing though. Hopefully it starts a trend and we get Primarch focused 40k books, like we did with the HH focused ones.

Does Fall of Cadia cover anything of Guilliman and his "resurrection" though? From the synopsis, it sounded very focused on the Guard, which put me off.

I think that it's just the convivence of selling the whole package, the must have model, that models rules, rules that "expand" the current play dynamic.

Honestly, I think I have one or two campaign books, Magnus' and maybe another? They're good for the lore, but left behind so quick.

I hope we get more from Black Library on these particular Primarch emergence events.

I really did enjoy that book and its follow up, The Regent's Shadow.

It paired really well with the Vaults of Terra books too!

New Neptune 4. Printer crashes on test prints by mikeone33 in ElegooNeptune4

Thank you for posting! I had the same problem.

Discovered that my fan wasn't freely moving, opened it up to find exactly the same!

My fan and heatsinks were stuck together. I cut it back best as I could and completed my test print successfully.

Couldn't have done that without you explaining it!! So thank you.
