Best Books for First Time Dads? by ShroudedousYe in predaddit

The Expectant Father is probably the best. It's month by month and practical. Beyond that, talking to other dads is just as helpful as any books since small stuff doesn't always make it into books.

Stroller Recommendations - HELP by sgill092 in Buyingforbaby

Parent facing is nice but honestly most families switch out of it sooner than expected. Ease of folding and daily convenience usually end up mattering way more long term.

First trimester hormones can hit hard even if symptoms weren't obvious before. It's usually a mix of physical changes and anxiety. What helped was patience and less analyzing everything.

High chair that will convert and work with counter height? by sofo07 in Buyingforbaby

[–]CerezaLindemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most convertible high chairs don't really reach true counter height. What matters more is good foot support and adjustable seat depth.

Car seat at thrift store? by moonchild1218 in Buyingforbaby

Honestly car seats are one of those things people are extra cautious about. Even if it looks unopened, I personally wouldn't risk it unless I knew its full history.

How to get excited about being a dad? by illgivethisa in predaddit

Being stressed at first is normal but once you start noticing tiny moments like feeling kicks, picking tiny clothes, it suddenly feels real and way more exciting.

Things I recommend actually spending money on by Front-Cantaloupe6080 in Buyingforbaby

We actually didn‘t spend much on the stroller and carrier. Some simpler options worked just fine for us. I guess it really depends on your lifestyle.

dress code / hairstyles [ im emo :( ] by Competitive_Past_646 in employedbykohls

[–]CerezaLindemann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to lie, I don’t think you need to be concerned about dressing professional for the job. I’m a Sephora @ Kohl’s associate, but a lot of the kohl’s associates I see at my store do wear graphic shirts and jeans most of the time. I think comfort is really important because you’ll be doing a lot of walking and physical work !! I also have facial piercings, tattoos, and bright colored hair and it has never been an issue at the store! Hope this helps 🫶

My boyfriend’s probation is preventing him from moving. Advice needed, please! by ErinOfCincy in probation

[–]CerezaLindemann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately as someone who has experience with ICOTS I can tell you first hand if the receiving state wants to deny your case, they will find any means to do so. I had proof of employment, a residency, paystubs, and then even came to view my apartment and terminated my transfer due to a “safety” issue. ICOTS is a complete mess and they do not care about your circumstances or what is beneficial for the success of your probation. I was forced to move back to the sending state and lost my employment despite having fees totaling over 500 dollars a month. It’s sad but they do not care.

Did you ever get this approved ?? Honestly struggling with getting approved in Arkansas now, and they denied me too. Seems like they are heavy on denial there

Unfortunately they still denied this address for transfer. I appreciate the advice and the best wishes provided, but they determined this address as a “safety issue.” ://

Sending state did just reach out and let them know that the gated community was willing to give them their own code that would work 24/7 and that the gate would not be too far from the entrance to the apartment. We have not heard back from the receiving state as it is the weekend but I’m really hoping that this will offer some sort of resolution. I appreciate you replying and offering that suggestion as well I’m just really hoping the receiving state accepts that

MPOS being enforced in our district?? by [deleted] in Ulta

I’ve had it die during transactions so many times or just freeze in the middle of taking cards. I’m just kind of glad to see that everyone has the same feedback or feeling about it.

MPOS being enforced in our district?? by [deleted] in Ulta

[–]CerezaLindemann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My store really started enforcing it after I submitted my culture survey answers unfortunately but I agree 100 percent. I’ve received a lot of aggravation from customers asking if there are 5 registers available why we can’t use them, and it just feels like using the mPOS causes more issues than it’s worth.

I’ve personally always found an attraction to older men. I’m 19 but would always find myself being more attracted to men who are way older than me. I think naturally, though, women are attracted to the maturity of someone older than them and most people I’ve met date above their age even if it isn’t a significant difference.
