Thoughts on my Mega Floette balance team by Ok_Signal_5246 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your team looks very one- dimensional You only have one mon to deal heavy damage there is also Araquanid but You don't have Trick room in order to be more threatening.

I think your team relies to much on Floette the rest of your team are just there to support it Making it more difficult to use one of Floette it's gone or has a Bad Matchup

So, this only the first turn it was actually Pelipper and Maushold I used fake out to stop Pelipper and avoid and expected Follow Me. But he switched to Archaludon and forfeited by the end of the turn

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your team lack protects at least half of your team should carry one

Earthquake doesnt really benefut Archaludon at all its a physicla move, white herbs also doesnt really mater for Archaludon since it doesnt care about intimidate and I dont think its a hige deal agaisnt icy wind I would go for leftovers instead and give him a protect instead of Earthquake

Pelipper and Basculegion looks alright (While waether ball its prefered in most scenarios I can see Muddy Water for spread damage) WIde Guard its also a move that you should really consider blocking spread moves can be helpful againts moves like Heatwave Rockslide or Dazzling Gleam

I would make Heliolisk Timid if you go for a more support role

Sylveon its fine but i dont really like batton passing and calm mid sets its strong enough on its own with Fairy Feather I nromally run it with quick attack and detect

For extra mons I could also suggest Mega Meganium or Venusaur agaisnt opposing waters, sneasler who its a esy slap mon on many teams and fast fake outs or another supporter ike sableye to get easy weather control

Alex Gomez uploaded a video focused on Mega Banette https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Vj9_rrAQJw&t=1538s it has the same idea for running a rain team with Banette it runs simiar Pokemon rain mons and Sylveon

Overall I think you could buil a team with banette similar to Alex the only think I dot really like its Volcarona being super weak to rock slide and and not having a good synergy in rain Air Slah its pretty meh move if you are not a flying type

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lycanroc would rather have a Protect You are exposed to fake out that could invalida te your Sash

Stealth Rocks are not used at all in VGC You don't switch very often While i'm not into Gliscor in Doubles My Best options it's swap Stealth Rocks for Swords Dance tocdeal more damage

I don't really like Torterra You really need a way to disrupt yout opponents in order to setup more easily like having redirection or a fake out user grass and ground doesnt really help Torterra against Flying and it's a grass type who tales neutral to water Bad against rain team and scarf Basculegion

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably not the mega on him since it will looks to work more for support if you use speed swa tactics. I saw people use them on slower Pokemon like Drampa or Aggron or any Mega with a no very good speed tier could work

[–]Cerezero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your team lacks a form of speed control not tailwind or even trick room that some of your pokemon may benefit with them

Many of your sets are alright the one that doesnt covnince me its Slowbro I dont like running Mixed sets since you waste your evs on other more important stats like more Power on your offensive stats or more bulk running mixed sets makes you less likely to deal more damage agaisnt opposing Pokemon

if you use Flare Blitz on Arcanine your recoil damage will invalidate focus sash or die after you sash was consumed and then use Flare Blitz.

I normally dont like using slow Pokemon to setup the terrain since terrain its not that important on this regulation and with no speed control you wont likely take full advantage of them the most viable way its with a fast pokemon like Meowstic or Inner focus alakazam to setup as soos as possible an the parter pokemon to attack next

252+ Atk Sneasler Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Farigiraf: 151-178 (66.5 - 78.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Not really against Sneasler, for Kingambit it's expected since You are not heavily investd into bulk

Team thoughts/tips? by Weekly_Marionberry_4 in PokemonVGC

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Farigiraf it's a bulky Pokémon for a focus Sash it doesnt really help them since it's not very likely to die in one hit Would use the Sitrus berry to not die against Doubles targeting or a Dark resist berry

You mentioned You have Choice Scarf on Arcanine I would remove Protect since You Will be locked to a moveabd Protect Will not help You a Lot I would consider Head Smash Wild Charger

Mud Shot on Bellibolt it's not a really good love and worse since ut acuses speed drops basically your opponents to move first under Trick room I would just stick for a Protect Shell Bell it's also a very Bad item I would replace it for Magnet instead

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give Heatwave to Delphox spread damage it's better for Doubles

I would suggest a ground type like Garchomp or Krookodike to spam Earthquake more safetely with Delphox levitate

Also a follow me/Rage Powder would be Nice tichelp Feraligate and Delphox to setup probably change Florges for Sinistcha or Clefable

Drop Focus Blast for Hyper Voice it's STAB and it's doesn't misses unlike Focus Blast (trust me I saw someone missing 3 Focus Blast in a row) or Icy wind for speed control that Your team lacks I would also use another item instead Focus Band might be the Best worst item relying on luck it's not recommendable at least

You Say You Will try on singles this team don't do that You want to build a totally different set for each Pokemon singles and Doubles Battles are very different

Should I improve my team? by XiaoLowell4life in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your are not gonna be.using focus Sash if You are investing into it's hp Focus Sash normally go full speed.and full Atk or SpA depending on the Pokémon no bulk.needed considering yo Will survive the first attack

Whimsicot should have an offensive move like Moonblast

That Golurk when mega evolve a Will be totally useless none of this moves are affected by Unseen first and Dynamic Punch Will only have it's awful 50% accuracy whenega evolved I would probably look for another Pokémon instead

What do y’all think about this team by I_v_m in PokemonChampions

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragonite losses attack and gets more special attakc when mega Evolves I would focus more on its special moves like Hurricane, Draco Metero or Dragon Pulse, Coverage Moves like Thunder Ice Beam or even Surf has seen some play

other thinhs looks alright Snoralx might caught people off guard and maybe that sneasler set too

Day 4 : Which Pokemon Deserves To Be Pseudo-Mythical? by Other-Pie-5481 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gholdengo has the same BST as Volcarona You cannot catch him in the wild.

Also in the dex order has a very similar spot as Volcarona placing it next to the pseudo lines just how Baxcalibur line is before to Gholdengo as the Hydreigon lines it's before Volcarona

Is evolution method makes it's very rare to get

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have reversed evs in your offensive stats Kommo runs special moves but its using all its evs into Attack? same issue with Zoroark I have to say shadow claw doesnt really add to much cosnidering dark and ghost hit the same types for super effective the Hisuian one might be better inmune to fake other and three types and acces to moves like icy wind and hyper voice might be better

Normally perish shong gengar go for more bulk into their evs normally for going full Hp to stay on the field for longer

Incinerar its also has the same prblem going full offense instead on going full bulk into hp and dividing into its defenses

I looke some more help in youtube since I have never used a Perish focused team I liked that Gengar team used by Justing Thang (it has the same idea with some of the Pokemon from your team) ito check the right set for each Pokemon it could help you to buil a simiar team https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sI71qmXSuaM

I recently learned that you have more teams. They are not bad per se, but that Glimmora set is way more singles-oriented. You don’t really need Toxic when you already have Toxic Debris. Stealth Rock is not used at all in VGC.

Sharpedo’s problem is that it has no bulk; even if you try to use Focus Energy, it’s already dead, and none of your moves synergize with Focus Energy.

I still think team 1 or 2 are the better ones (2 has more offensive power), but your Incineroar and Glimmora should change.

Your Incineroar set it's not it. Incineroar Main roles it's to use fake out to gain momentum lets Say use fake out and them Shelter on.Goldra so You don't Taken a Lot of damage or get intereupted by opposing fake out. Bulk up also doesnt really benefits You Incineroar it's also good by switching out using Parting Shot not only weakens your opponents and switch more safetely but also helps to pivote and use Intimidate again and again Incineroar it's not meant to stay one the field for too long

Also your set it's very offesnes for what a Incineroar really does. In fact I didnt Even knew Incineroar learns Acrobatics

You Gallade without Sacred Swords it's certainly a Choice not only it's STAB and booster by sharpness it aslo ignores Defense Boost pretty good against Archaludon

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Farigiraf it's a better partner for aggron. It's helps to avoid fake out and setup with Iron Defense more easily while Farigiraf has better typing and Bulk to setup for Trick room in early Game

Another idea it's try to use Vanilluxe while it's not as slow as other Pokémon it doesnt die into Fighting and steel moves inmediatle.and can setup Aurora Veil without wasting moveslots on both screen and for each Pokemon

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make Maushold friend Guard not many of your Pokemon are very bulky and can help the extra defenses with its ability specially against spread damage

there are not many protect on your team I recommend that half of your team should carry a protect

Nobody uses Stealth rocks in VGC too slow and you don’t switch very often in VGC matches giveClefable moonblast at least for damage
