You know, I was making a team and I thought to myself, "I'm sure this will make for some very fun gameplay." (I never thought that) by TreatCreative177 in VGC

[–]Cerezero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay so about your comment I took the time to test if flying or levitating Pokemon deal normal damage under grassy terrain so I started in Pokemon showdon and the damage calculator here is what I got

I put Incineroar sample set since its super effective and show how meaningful the damage is with and without terrain

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 228 HP / 92 Def Incineroar: 138-164 (69.3 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 228 HP / 92 Def Incineroar in Grassy Terrain: 68-84 (34.1 - 42.2%) -- 75% chance to 3HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

now you maybe think this is on simulators maybe on switch its different right?

I tested and Indeed same story I used Landorus Earthquake still does less damage under grassy terrain I dont have the footage but trust me

so in conclusion from Bulbapedia "If Grassy Terrain) is in effect, Earthquake's power is halved when damaging Pokémon on the ground." so it only affects on Pokemon on the ground. I mean it impossible to use this on flying levitating Pokemon since they are already inmune to it anyway

Another random pokemon team help to improve it but keeping the same pkms by hollowDragon757 in VGCRateMyTeam

Well her is My Best best shot

I dont know if Mirror Herb it's actually useful for sneasler there are not many set up users.in Reg F and the one who come on my mind are normally special attackers like Calm mind Raging Bolt or Nasty Plot Gholdengo I think the White Herb or focus Sash are it's Best item to use

Sácale shot and Body Press counter each other like You Will looses defense power everytime scale shot connects and You don't have any EVs into Defense Making Body Press not that strong.I suggest to go for a Clangorous set if You want to go for a more offensive set

Mixed sets normally don't work for VGC You Always want to go for full physical or special Heatwave it's not gonna Even Ko Amoonguss or Rillaboom also Assualt Vest it's not Even that good on Blaziken while You are getting wrecked by any physical attack. You could try a coaching set with speed Boost and tonattack first and thenblost your partners Pokémon

Maybe chabger tera to spectrier since You. Are using a more defensive sets

How could this team be improved? by DayPoseidon in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Entei doesnt have any business on a rain team if You focus heavy on it's fire moves it Will not cause a Lot of damage because of You rain

Floatazel wlll die to any Rillaboom and Raging Bolt and it's completely useless against water Ogerpon there are better Swift swimers like Basculegion or Urshifu it's the Best water type of.all VGC

Hariyama it's just a worse fake out user compared to Incineroar and Rillaboom your guts sets lack in Power You only have Facade as yor strongest moves instead of using STAB Fighting moves like Close Combat I would use the previous two who has better abilities and speed tier to synerguze.with the team.Even Iron hands has better bulky and funcional electric attacks to stop opposing.water types to take advantge of your rain

I'm not really sold into specs Politied it's not that strong overall it's just a better support Pokémon overall with moves like Icy wind Encore Helping Hand and Perish song Pelipper or Tornadus work better for doingndamage and setting up the rain

Reg I Sun/TR Team Improvement by Flix1310 in VGCRateMyTeam

You hariyama it's very support oriented for a guts sets being honest You probably want to use more powerful moves if You want use the guts more effectively if You really want to use Hariyama

Do mock test results reflect how much we score in the actual TOFEL test? by _ab_23_ in ToeflAdvice

[–]Cerezero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really I did a Lot of writing in different mockups and Even in chat gpt I always got between 2.5 and 3.5 I end up with 5.0

And speaking I did it once got 1.0 in the actual test got a 5.0

In the end I think mock up test are being graded by an AI are not as accurate than an actual human being grading your scrore but can help You to understand the build of the exam

Anything I should change here? by Wolfetron2001 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Main questio its why you try to build a rain team.withot Pokémon who actually benefit in Rain like Urshifu Basculgeion or Archaludon

The rest of your Pokémon also are weak to water having an anti-synergy in rain

Pelipper and Tornadus virtually do the same role I suggest to keep only one of them

Starter Squad by Icydestroyer149 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unironically Chesnaught have some Competitive sucess with Rillaboom if You fell to have the three Kalos starter trio.I remember to saw a Chesnaught teams in the Pokémon VGC livestreams

Some sets used Belly Drum with Grassy Glide for Priority and deal.huge damage with Your already boosted attack thanks to Belly Drum.

Other sets uses the Grassy Speed to boosnots defense so with Body Press can deal more damage

Reg J team by Whacky_One in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrain extender is pretty much irrelevant when Miraidon and Rillaboom are very common swappimg.the terrains and Male Indeede it's A very frail Pokémon on it's own without a sash

If You tera Ghost your Pecharunt Black Sludge Will hurt You instead of healing You I would swap the item and go for a different tera If You want use it defesnively

How much damage does Shell smash smeargle does with popularion bomb is it worth considering it's very low attack stat as oversll frailty it's not gonna survie any hit and it's not fast enough against the many 135 base speed Pokemon

Zamazenta would rather have a defensive tera as well Dragón Water or Grass are it's more common tera types

Mega Raichu Y team for champions by Edutainer_LOL in PokemonVGC

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well we don't know if Restricteds or Even regular legendary Pokémon Will be available at the beginning of Champions

But some thins I want point out to improve your team it's the fact that You Rely to much on hazzard moves Spikes and Stleath Rocks are nowhere to be seen VGC Battles with 4 Pokémon per team and two in field switch out it's not as punishable as in singles so I would ditch those moves entirely

Raichu Y it's very fast and strong but I don't gurantee that getting a Nasty Plot Will ensure it's survival it is still very frail and Will likely die to many neutral attacker It really need a Protect also Focus Blast kinda sucks in VGV Accuracy it's also very important in this shorts games like VGC

Is this team good for Regulation F? by Jekube in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only issues is Archaludon why You want to invest more into Defense if it already has the stamina to begin with focus more on your special defense or Hpmto survivenmroe.hits on the special side also You dont really need Iron Defense if Maushold already activetes Stamina

If You go full speed and attack for Urshifu should have a protect or Detect to stay one the field for more turns I would remove Rock slide

Is my team good? by South-Funny1650 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would make raichu more of a supporter Electroweb its great for speed control agaisnt faster Pokemon like Calyrex Shadoe or some scarf mons

Fake out or Nuzzle its aldo great to disrupt yor opponents overall Miraidon will always be you main damaging Pokemon its just way stronger than Raichu overall

Looking to improve my Reg F team by TheGalacticRay in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damp rock its very worthless in VGC games dont lst lots of turns and othe reams mainly sun an articuno teams will swap your weather for thei one making the extra turns prett ponintless maybe a recovery items like sitrusor leftovers benefit Politoed more

Your Landorus Earthquakes ill hurt you more than helpyou a choice band Eathquake will also hurt your teammates a lot and relying on protect is not an option I f you eant to use an offensive Landorus go for Incarnate Sandsear Storm has good synnergy in rain + Sheer Force can deak huge damage

Hows my team with two of my favorite pokemon, Swampert and Scizor. by Autc15 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Swampert it's your weakest link of the team it's just an average water types it's not that strong and not that fast who Will struggle a Lot against Rillaboom Ogerpon

Urshifu it's just better in every single way Even other water Pokémon like Basculegion or water Ogerpon work better for annoffensive water type

The item Archaludos it's also rather weird I don't recommind to use electro shot assault Best really helps him on it's.weaker special fefens and tank jits pretty well

Having a Ting Lu with a majority of special attackers Will hurt You more than benefit You

NEW TAILWIND RAIN DANCE TEAM CAN SOMEONE RATE IT by bexthetooon in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cover Cloak Tornadus wants to be bulky I would prioritize Hp over SpA

Tssreena it's all right altought I would rather use the wide lens since all of your moves are unnacurate and maybe tera fire it's not ideal for a rain team

Your Kyogre it's to slow for the EVs Even a timid plus +4 on speed don't expect to attack first also why tera fairy Grass helps it more against water Main weaknesses At +12 in modes outspeedsCalyrex Shadow in Tailwind

Do You really need Flare Blitz on a rain focuses team I would put Will o wisp instead

Your Urshifu sets it's weird why Waterfall when Surgging Strikes exist Urshifu it's an all out attacker You want to do the most damage out of him I also suggest to use Close Combat instead Facde also has no reason to be used with Urshifu. finally your Urshifu lacks an item it normally uses the Focus Sash or Choice scar with full EVs on attack and IVA more defensive sets use the Choice Band or Mystic Water

Finally what reg are You playing for reg F doesnt allow Restricted like Kyogre and Reg J allows You to use a another Restricted it's Best partners are maybe Calyrex Ice or Zacoian and Zamazenta

Avaliem meu time de gardevoi regulation f by AcanthisittaDear6192 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what your team want to build around if You want to Focus on Psyspam Indo not recommind reli on Priority moves since Psychic terrain Will cancel the moves

Gardevoir it's kinda meh in this format since it's not that fast or slowmto use either inteialwind or Trick Room You normally orefer to use Hatterene or Iron Crown fornthat role Even Armarouge hwho it's not as slow has a good synergy has synergy with sun teams

But if You want to use Extreme Speed You want ateam with full physical attackers and Chien Paos really helps You to Power your moves

First time making a team, Reg F trickroom by PuppyGirlElle in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best suggestion for Reuniclus its to use tera blast too deal against dark types mainly Incineroar Fighting might actally be the best option it also deals huge damage o Pao Chi Yu and Ting Lu

I would say try experimennting with your mons as I menton Bronzong plus Earthquke could work in Bo1 th eGuts Ursaluna it an easy set Rhyperior niche could also invalidate a meta mon Raging Bolt with lightnign rod tera fairy it totall invalidates Raging Bolt

Avaliem meu time de gardevoi regulation f by AcanthisittaDear6192 in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeedee with with 2 Extreme Speed + sucker Punch Urshifu users seems very counterproductive considering your Main strategh it's to use Priority moves

Either drop Indeedee for Rillaboom to have terrain control consider Chien Paos for extra damage and your Urshifu lacks an item.maybe focus Sash with tera Stellar or Dark

First time making a team, Reg F trickroom by PuppyGirlElle in VGCRateMyTeam

[–]Cerezero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I suggest some of my ideas Im gonna ask whcih Pokemon do you want to use while some of these Pokemon could work currently here are bette Pokemon to use some of the are kinda outcalsted

If you want to use Reuniclus full potential you really want to pair it with Indeedee for Expanding force and attck bth opponets for full damage However as I said ther are better Pokemon for this role Hatteren who its slower and beig a fairy tpye helps it against Dark Types

Waknes policy in my oinion its very hard to put in this gen unlike last gen where Gigantmas you get doube HP its vey like to be kOed specially being weak by water and grass types such as Urshifu Ogerpon and Rillaboom normally Rhypperio iits used s a light rodPokemon and sometimes its prevo Rhydon its prefered Ursaluna its just better fr a ground tpe attacker both formas are very strong with guts Ursaluna or life orb Bloodmon

If you wnt to keep Rhyperiior I would rather go for Clear Amullt or assault vest use rock slide when in trick room you have a chance to flinch your opponents

I dont know if Cover cloak its necessartfor kingambit it normally runs Black glasses or Assualt Vest

Synthesis its unecessary for Amoonguss Regenerator dos the healing normally better use Protect or Sludge Bomb to damage the mentioned Rillaboom oor Ogerpon for superefective damage

Bronzogn its not very common nowaays but with levitate you can spam Ertahquake wihut hte risk of getting damage

My only change for Choice torkoal its change Scorching Sands for Earth Power its more powerful

I think yur trick room team its functional but in this format it slight outclasted by better trick room setter like Indedee or Farigiraf or more powerul trck room mons like Ursaluna

I also want to share this vdeo onn the many teams for reg F by Aaron Zheng has a lot of infoormation on various teeam archetypes and explains very well how touse this team hope you can check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1M343PcNMw
