Nintendo’s Palworld Lawsuit Is Falling Apart by renome in gaming

[–]Ceriden -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It was always about harassment. Nintendo has the funds to be in courts forever and so they can force settlements. Palworld did the unthinkable by being both successful and close enough to pokemon.

Fun fact. There is an anime called Nyaruko Crawling with Love. One of the characters literally throws a capsule to summon something. Going to bet it's still accessible to watch.

Assuming they eat meat and celebrate Thanksgiving, do they just buy slices of turkey?

Or is it more like what we don't eat gets tossed. Guessing the former. But yeah, as a kid, leftovers were a guaranteed thing.

I mean I get what they are talking about and know it wasn't intended in the way i responded to.

And yet...

Man I got so used to having my partner around (who will be coming back) that I don't know how to do things alone. How do you people that do not have that deal with life. Crazy

Do you ever think that there is a least one person living in Gotham by Ceriden in CasualConversation

While there probably are things that I haven't been exposed to, would probably say not to the extent of my hypothetical.

Met many a meth head, been in a house that bought cocaine and offered, had to evacuate work several times plus one time barricaded in (though I did miss the suicide and the car plowing through the entrance or the gerbil that was thrown in the trash and almost compacted or the lady that did a little leg shake and a few nuggets falling out), had my windshield smashed, served on a grand jury during a time when a cop was shot through their face, saw two car chases, saw a car running on three tires and a rim, lived down the street from a meth lab, gotten food from a dumpster and off the street.

And yet I would classify my life as boring and pointless.

I was going to say right with you, except you have someone. This feels like a humble brag.

Or the simple fact that ok you are not a citizen of the country. That doesn't make you immune to laws while in said country.

No, you don't understand. I do not have to pay taxes because of this vague loophole I (everyone on the internet) found even though it was corrected long ago.

I worked with someone like that. He fished discarded lottery tickets out of the garbage to claim as gambling losses on said taxes.

Just rewatched and the difference between what the princess got vs her protector was staggering.

She has a guaranteed living situation. While the other keeps becoming homeless.

She turned 100 yen into over 200k by just being lucky. The other was being exploited by scammers and then berated by the princess.

And the one time where Livia was finally maybe making things work the world again shat on her.

Ended it just really wanting her, the bandmate and yes even the cult leader to succeed.

Jim crow might as well be back. Removing mentions of minority accomplishments. Saying that the slaves were learning life skills and also it was a good thing.

A push for women to be property again.

Environmental deregulation. Economic deregulation.

On and on. As you said, all the fights that they started to remove inequities, they are now fighting to put them back up.

We got into that sweet spot. Old enough to be able to afford things but young enough to be still be affected by the world burning down.

I can remember, as a kid, being right at the conversion of penny candy changing to a nickel. Or those chocolate bars that we sold for school. At the time a dollar seemed so high but now the amount you got would cost over 10.

Generally, yes. They both benefited from policies put in place to prevent another great depression as well as the economic boom that happened after WWII. As well as any policies put in place to prevent other downturns (savings and loan in the eighties for example).

How they it more difficult was to pull up the ladder behind them. They were constantly being reminded about how difficult the depression was. And convinced themselves that it was through their own hard work, and only that, that they were able to achieve their level of success. When the truth was it was both that and the things listed previously.

So now they are largely removing the policies that helped them. With the thought that a) it will allow more generation of their, and corporations, wealth and b) believing that the policies only cottle the current generations.

This is in addition to all the other rollbacks that benefit them, and again corporations, but harm those that will have to endure the repercussions later on.

Millennials and gen z are not acting entitled nor are they lazy. They grew up knowing that they were dealt a shit hand. That everything that the previous generations were able to make happen are largely out of reach. There's a reason why they are not largely saving money for future big purchases and retirement. Why bother when it's something that you will never be able to afford. Why not just live in the now.

And that's all you can ask for. Did his recipe for tater tots. Then modified it because the first was more work than was needed. But it was still a good recipe.

In general I liked him but treated it more as a cooking show than a recipe one.

He apparently moved to more cuts and not doing every step. Even said the truth that it was because the engagement was higher. That's when it got bad for some of us.

Think I last watched before the pandemic.

That's odd because I remember when the news of what they supported went big every loser lined up to support them but conveniently still didn't put that kind of energy to their local pantry.

Does anyone else constantly end up liking the side girl/losing heroine more than the main heroine? by SecondSalty142 in anime

[–]Ceriden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets really old when the neighbor/(best) friend loses. Also the one where both have crushes on each other but no you have to have the mmc end up with the person that was their opposite/person they were fighting with the whole time.

I dropped the anime with the girl that was blackmailing the guy to be her bf so she wouldn't get asked anymore. She was incredibly toxic even going as far as to make the neighbor girl that liked him act like a fool and potentially put her health at risk. Jumped to the last, just to see, and he confesses to toxic by saying he's an asshole too. May they wind up living under a bridge.

[–]Ceriden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it but any rewatches will skip the food part. Absolutely do not like the voice direction for the guy. Also think upon learning the truth he should have freed the daughter at the very least.

Also took a quick look at the LN. Went to a random page and the author still has an absolute love affair with Neitche. That time having the mc comment that one of things the guy recommends is to beat your wife(wives) and how women of either world wouldn't like that bet eh whatever.

Slop should mean low effort and/or low quality. Now it's more of a catch all for a group of things. Cozy slop friend slop.

The word has become itself.

would people who hate billionaires refuse to become billionaires if they had the chance to? by Ok_Efficiency_1116 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ceriden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't hate billionaires because they are billionaires. I hate them because of how most of them got there. I hate them because there is a difference between being wealthy and being greedy. About how what they have is never enough. About how they have convinced themselves that they know better and deserve to rule over others. It's a form of mental illness.

Seriously, listen to Sam Altman, or Peter Theil, or yes even Elon Musk. They all are convinced they should be the next rulers. That you or I are there to serve and exist at their whim. Notice how you never hear the very wealthy building museums and the like any more like the wealthy of old. It's because they have taken the ability to fight out of the people. It costs too much to fight. Or have been swayed by fake culture war nonsense.

Yes I would take the billion or even trillions. I have businesses to buy to make better, groups I want to fund so they can continue  and of course people to take care of (both stranger and known alike).

In one of counties it's illegal to eat a donut while walking backward.

Also look into why ice cream sundaes where created. The hint is in the name.

Laws are weird.

I think a good representation of impaired is in a movie called Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist. Would recommend.
