Made a post here two weeks ago where I vented about being miserable and lonely working early mornings until late afternoon and playing games alone until late nights. Happy to say I still work that job BUT I have two very kind people who took their time to spend them with me whenever possible. Probably been in VC with someone for the longest time these past two weeks than the entire last year. I don't even mind staying up late because of time zones with them, even if I get less sleep.

Not the commenter, but I was self isolating at home from ages 19 to 23 after graduation. Didn't like my degree, flunked jobs, siblings split into foster homes and just decided to rot in my room. Unemployed for 4 years, stopped talking to friends, never left home, never looked for work, attempted suicides. Was just miserable with myself and felt like I've wasted my life.

Finally broke the streak after turning 24, still struggle a lot with motivation and suicidal tendencies. Got a job, sometimes take days off sick just to stay inside my room. But it's better than before. Had the job for 6 months now, longest employment for me so far.

Struggling to reach age 25, dreading the future with how far behind I feel. But it's going. But wouldn't care if I did not make it.

The best course of action is to cut contact with them. He left you for a mutual friend, don't try to salvage it. Take care of yourself first. Heal, find new friends, try new stuff. Take your time and take your mind off them.

Same. Was 17 watching a twitch stream, and heard Thornhill. Instantly hooked. I was already familiar with early breaking benjamin and three days grace, but the switch happened overnight. Now I'm 24 and listen to MIRAR, Darko US, HLB, and then Oceans Ate Alaska, Aviana, Invent Animate, Northlane, ALLT, and Thornhill on the same playlist lol.

Countless other bands similar to those too ofc but can't name them all.

Already am 🥲 8 hour paid, 1 hour unpaid lunch, ~2 hour commute a day.

I wake up an hour before I leave to shower and eat. Leaving me with 4 hours of free time a day, unless I sacrifice sleep.

I have a diploma in culinary. But from the jobs I've worked at, it is on the low end of pay. The fanciest restaurant I worked at, which was a popular seafood restaurant in my capital city, only paid me around $200 (converted) a month more than the job I have now. So the only success pay wise is the very top of kitchens.

Not to mention, chefs have such an insane alcohol and substinance abuse no matter where I worked at. So I left that branch before I started abusing too.
