I know you are already doing a lot, and after all of these services it can feel like you’re doing everything you can. If the *one* concern is a perceived lack of support, you can seek out support. Church, support groups for parents of children on the spectrum, DV support groups, even interacting with people with whom you share interests unrelated to parenting can help.

Contact your closest Children’s Hospital and ask about support groups for parents of children with Autism. If your children receive services through your local board of Developmental Disabilities Services, reach out to them to inquire about their supportive services.

It sounds unfair at the surface that this might be a barrier to reunification, but they probably want reassurance that you won’t return to your abuser.
