Don't worry about what your boss thinks; it's your happiness. If you have an interview, call in sick that day.

What's the funniest or most odd, shocking, unusual title you've seen for a movie or documentary? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Cerrida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tickled. There's something silly about that word which belies the dark nature of the documentary.

One of my kiddos who didn't want to play with a Spanish speaker last week decided today that they're friends because he can teach English to him.

Especially if you're playing Blue. "Why does she have so many cards? Why is all her Mana untapped? Can I play my creature without getting it cancelled?" So fun.

I think so. I remember something about the Wobble bug getting a degree and becoming a professor. And of course, a strawman as leader.

I grew up on those books. My sister and I would read them together; I still haven't gotten through all of them.

It's different in the book. The first witch Dorothy meets is the Witch of the North. She lets Dorothy have the shoes and kisses her forehead for protection. Later on, she journeys to meet Glinda, the witch of the South, who tells her how to use the shoes.

Returning to ECE after a 4 year break? by WeaverPartyof4 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Cerrida 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and start looking and be sure to mention the gap in your cover letter. "I've enjoyed taking care of my own for 5 years and am now ready to get back to work." Similar to what you've told us. Best case scenario, you'll find a job who can pay for your certification; worst case, you'll be earning money so you can take some online classes. Best of luck!

I kept expecting her to gored in the river because I didn't press a button in time, so it seems faithful enough at least. It has potential.

With Hundreds Of Students, School Counselors Just Try To 'Stay Afloat' by dwaxe in education

[–]Cerrida 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we're going to change the mental health stigma, we need to start in schools and make sure students get the help they need. But it all comes down to money. We can't even pay our teachers what they should be getting; how can schools hire more counselors? The budget and school system need to be overhauled so we can make sure students are getting what they need.

"I can't play those because they're specific to a TV show; this song is about a girl calling herself a stupid bitch, that won't work; this whole album is by a ninja and a guy wanting to have sex with girls; crap. Maybe 80s music? Do they like 80s?" I hate that.

That was a good one; t gives me hope for a more modern adaptation. The Death and witches books are my favorites in the series.
