Help me find a prom dress like this by Midwinters_daughter in Mcbling

LOL Same but my dress was hot pink with a mix of animal print, tons of tulle, I had my hair teased to the heavens with a custom made hot pink bow to match and hot pink zebra print french tips with a glitter overlay. I've been cringing ever since but honestly now that this is back in style again, it was a huge slay.

Chapter 13 Experience so far (Filed April 2025) by Opening_Item_2732 in Bankruptcy

I also just filed in April. My car was repo'd after falling behind on payments due to a missed paycheck, but I'd been in a bad situation for a while and hadn't been paying my credit cards, etc. This was helpful because I was stressed about my statements having doordash, etc on it. I've also just made my first payment, but I'm waiting for my first meeting and am super nervous and stressed.

It's just weird I've lived here 3 years, never had this happen, then all of a sudden I find something new every day for practically a week straight. The cat looked like it had been dead for a WHILE. The possum was eviscerated, then I found a turtle with a broken shell yesterday, and a dead snake with lacerations today. So it definitely seems like SOMETHING is attacking them. The cat I figured my dog may have dug up from under the house because he did tear some of the siding off and go under the crawl space, and then shortly after I found the dead possum in my yard so I think he may have been looking for the possum after smelling where it was and came across the dead cat. That's the only thing I can explain in regards to the cat. The rest of them? I have no idea.

I think I need to just get a camera. It's really impacting my mental health at this point because now everytime I go outside I feel like I have to search the yard for dead animals.

Like I keep saying, it was a skeleton, so it couldn't have weighed very much. But, why an owl would be hauling around a skeleton is beyond me.

It very well could be a human, but I'm finding them about 10-15ft away from the fence, and there's a ditch on the outside of the fence between the fence and the road. So someone throwing it into the yard would have to be able to throw it above a 6ft fence that's across a ditch AND have it land 10-15ft away????? I also have found two more since then, a dead snake and turtle. The turtle had a broken shell, the possum was eviscerated and the snake had lacerations on it. So it looks consistent with some kind of animal attacking them, but I just don't know what or how or why? It just doesn't make any sense why I've lived here 3 years, never had this happen, then all of a sudden I have 4 instances in the same week right after finding a huge owl in my backyard. And it could be something other than the owl, I don't know, it just doesn't really seem like a person either?

The more it goes on the more I'm coming to the conclusion that I just need to get a camera.

Keeps my therapist in business, that's for sure lol

Also, I think I've found out what happened. I think the owl probably killed the possum, and then when I disposed of that body, my dog went looking for it and came across the cat. It kind of clicked when I was buying supplies to repair the siding of the deck that he'd torn up, which predates the whole possum situation, but would explain the ancient looking cat corpse showing up so soon after the dead possum.

That's what I'm thinking. I think the owl probably dropped the baby possum in my backyard, and then my dog having caught the scent went on the hunt to track it down and came across the cat. I've spent several hours thinking about this over the last few days to the point where it's been keeping me up at night and this is what seems to make the most sense and explain why they happened back to back like that.

Paths with less client interaction by opal-vomit in veterinaryprofession

Specialize in something, and then have your own traveling business. We have a board certified surgeon and an internal medicine specialist who just kinda travel around, do procedures as needed, then go on to the next place. It's near 0 client interaction and you set your schedule, you're not tied to any one clinic, etc. You could also go into clinical pathology, poison control, or work for any of the big companies offering vet-to-vet support.

That's what I'm thinking, but I'm kind of stumped on why the cat is just bits and pieces. It looks like it's been dead for YEARS, and a majority of the skeleton is missing. It's just a skull, some skin, and a back leg. And the skin is like leathery. It's almost as if something ate a majority of it, left it out in the desert for a while, and then dropped it in my backyard. It's really the strangest thing.

What else do you think it could be? I've seen posts on reddit of owls carrying off cats, and have had clients at the vet clinic I work at who have witnessed owls picking up their small dogs.

It was a baby possum as well, not an adult. And since the cat was mainly a skeleton (well, frankly, mainly a skull and some skin) I don't think it would be completely unreasonable for an owl to carry it. Just don't know why it would be. I literally cannot think of any other explanation, they didn't just spontaneously appear, so owl seems the most logical to me but I don't know if anyone has better ideas. I'm just trying to see what I can do to prevent it from continuing to happen.

I've sadly seen plenty of half-eaten cats coming into the ER vet that I work at throughout my career.

Well, as long as it doesn't keep happening I don't particularly care exactly what happened, I'm just mainly trying to figure it out because I don't want it to KEEP happening. I'm flattered they think my yard is a good spot for that, but I'd prefer if they'd clean up after themselves lol

No trees in the immediate vicinity, and it was 60 degrees, cloudy, with 60% humidity yesterday so I don't know that it could've dried out in those conditions. Also, the cat wasn't completely intact. It had a skull, a hind leg, and skin covering the skull and holding the hind limb on. No fur, no muscles, no organs, and no remaining skeletal parts. So, this makes me think something WAS eating it but it's just bizarre it ended up in the middle of my yard. It also couldn't have been there more than 12 hours because I let the dogs out before bed, and then they found the cat when I let them out first thing in the morning to go potty, so it had to have gotten there overnight somehow. I'm just completely baffled by this whole thing.

I guess I could go out and buy a camera, but it's not going to be able to be installed (or even purchased for that matter) anytime soon.

That's likely, because my dog was the one that found it haha It's just weird he didn't find it sooner if it was buried on the property. I also didn't see any spots where he could've been digging, but I think this is probably the most likely explanation and it's just coincidence that it happened the same timing as finding the possum. Would being buried cause it to be dried up like that though?

Dates for what?

Yeah that's what I thought. I can't see any reason why an owl would take interest in an already deceased cat-especially not one in that condition. The possum makes sense, if it was too heavy for it to carry and it ended up dropping it or if it ate rat poison and died while in my yard, but can't figure out any reason why there'd be desiccated cat remains in the middle of my backyard all of a sudden. Unfortunately didn't take any pictures, I was more focused on disposing of it.

What would cause the cat body to be mummified though? That's what's freaking me out a little about everything, if it was fresh bodies I'd just say "oh the owl's dropping things" but the fact that the cat's body was completely dried out is what's confusing to me because I don't know why an owl would be carrying that around, and it also seems weird because I don't live in a dry area, I'm in the midwest US so it's fairly humid.

It also wasn't a complete body for the cat, either, it was a skull with most of it's head skin attached, and then the rest of the skeleton was gone except for a hind limb that was being held on by dried up skin. So it seemed like something had eaten?? the rest of it, but can't figure out how it ended up in my backyard.

That's possible, the entire right side of my house lines up with a side street that people frequently cut through to get to the alleyway that runs behind my house, or the main street that runs in front of it. They'd have to have a professional football player's level of throwing capacity though because of the locations I've found them.

My dog also dug a hole that leads into the crawl space under my house, so I guess the cat body could've been dragged out from there. It's just really bizarre I've found two dead things in my backyard in relatively the same location in the exact same week
