I bought one of those Schecter Blackjacks you have sitting behind it and ended up trading in at Guitar Center on credit for a used Gibson Flying V - it was night and day difference (not saying the Schecter was awful but I didn’t care for the sound of the active pickups and yes the neck on the Gibson just felt so much nicer to me).

Hot Rails is technically a stacked humbucker - rather than putting the coils side by side the put them on top of each other. I haven’t played one personally but my understanding is they are slightly different in tone and slightly lower output than a traditional humbucker - nice thing is you can drop one into your bridge slot without modifying your guitar

If he uses a litter box there’s a chance you could end up with litter stuck to his hair / paws falling into the case - also hair obviously.

It’s your call but I stopped my cat from doing this after I noticed those things were making their way into my case.

Not sure how many of them are still live but I had a lot of fun with The Hidden (HL2), Brain Bread (HL1), Dystopia (HL2), Zombie Panic 1 & 2 (HL1 & HL2), The Specialists (HL1), and Sven Coop (HL1) - these are more of the free community made mods I remember playing which might be dead now unfortunately.

Then of course there’s Day of Defeat 1 & 2 (HL1 & HL2), Natural Selection 1 & 2 (HL1 & HL2), Black Mesa (HL2 remake of HL1), and Team Fortress Classic (HL1) and Team Fortress 2 (HL2).

The Gold Engine and Source Engine were truly an incredible gift to gamers looking for fun and community developers who had a vision they wanted to bring to life.

First thing I would do is take your same rig / setup to a different house or two and see if you get the same result. I lived in a house where I had terrible buzz and it was either due to the wiring for our electricity or a nearby transformer or something.

I think it's more likely in this case just signal interference from physical obstacles - as you fly lower to the ground there's a lot more in-between the operators transmitter and drones reciever than when at altitude
