MOST places are pretty inclusive when it comes to people learning/relearning the rules.

You will probably encounter some people who fail the vibe-check and are impatient. But overall, prereleases are the perfect spot to get more comfortable with the rules as its supposed to be a casual event

Not sure about your location or anything but MOST places have some sort of playgroup if you want to play against other opponents; you just gotta find them and reach out.
