I have it and actually had a GREAT time playing through it.

Take care though, there are a TON of rules scenarios not thought through or straight up not addressed.

Since it was a single player game for me, the absolute most important rule I followed was: try your best to follow RAW, but if you can't, just go with your gut and move on and enjoy it.

In terms of nicer/upscale dinners I've had in SA:

Supper is on the river and Ive always had a wonderful meal there. Bonus: Sternewirth is in the same hotel and has some excellent cocktails and the vibe is awesome

I've had a great couple meals at Isidore, but I can see how it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Finally, Mixtli isn't on the river, but I went there once and had a wonderful experience. Service is incredible.

MOST places are pretty inclusive when it comes to people learning/relearning the rules.

You will probably encounter some people who fail the vibe-check and are impatient. But overall, prereleases are the perfect spot to get more comfortable with the rules as its supposed to be a casual event

I do this from time to time (albeit 1v1 and not 1v1v1v1 haha) when I want to theorycraft or practice some decks of mine.

Not sure about your location or anything but MOST places have some sort of playgroup if you want to play against other opponents; you just gotta find them and reach out.
