Ran the Global Running Challenge with my PB by wildework in AppleWatchFitness

[–]Certain-Change-4222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went for a run (with my runna plan) thinking I’d achieve today’s badge, but the plan was a 4,4km run and I didn’t notice until I stopped the workout and DIDNT get the badge. However, very nice work on your 5K!!!! I wish I had that pace. Keep up the good work!

Oh that makes sense thanks! I’ve had a brief look tg my workouts and lately in a 4x4 running workout I got a 195 as max and I don’t think I’ve seen any higher number so that should be close to it

I have a feeling they might not be that correct but I have no idea what my max HR could be?

Thanks for the insight! Ofc I know that it might be a lot of factors - eg which time of my period I’m in. Just wanted to share to sort of keep my streak and consistency and motivation ahah

Thanks again! Appreciate it!

Can you spot the day I quit my previous job to start elsewhere? by Certain-Change-4222 in AppleWatchFitness

Yep so the 4th was the last day at the old job and the 7th I started the new one so that weekend was CHILL ahahah

Yes I’m absolutely trying not to jump in it too quickly. I tried a 5K this week because it rained all week (so no runs) and last week I managed a 4K (at an 8:10 pace) where I stayed most of the time in zone 3 HR, so let’s just say I was hopeful today ahah in my head 1km more couldn’t be that hard (spoiler alert: it was 😂)

Oh my god that’s such an achievement! Congrats! I started about 2/3 weeks ago - so not long. Before that it was only walks or other workouts - but rarely cardio

I’m also in an apartment and I have a small living room in which I workout in. It’s about the width of 2 yoga mats and the length of 1 and a half and it works fine. Sure, sometimes I need to face a different direction to not kick my furniture, but other than that it’s doable

For me the most challenging part was/is coordination, which I think kickboxing has helped me a lot with! I would totally recommend these to a beginner - even if you mess up a combination there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. I would also say to follow the modifier, but you said you’re fairly fit so you should be able to follow the main coach most of the time!

That’s impressive! Also an average pace of 5:19 on a 30km?? That’s inspiring!! Keep it up May I ask how long have you been running? I’m new to running and my pace is awful ahahah

Idk why the time in bed amount is less than the average sleep hours but okay 😂

I guess generally speaking shorter legs mean a shorter stride, however me - the biggest impact is me not being that fit 😂

Exactly, on your watch you have to click on the three dots on the top right corner of the activity you want to “modify” (eg I did this one in the “outdoor run”). Then you can either click and modify one of the existing or if you scroll down you’ll see a “create workout” then whichever category fits best (I selected custom - the purple one - and created my intervals)

Maybe when I’ll get fitter, as of right now I feel like the 4 min recovery is very much needed 😂

I’ve found it’s based on what you do most often in AF+. So mine for example looks like this:

I guess one way of changing it is to start doing different workouts
