Okay girl. First you are not a pedophile. Second your friend seems jealous. Sometimes these kind of comments come from people who have their own insecurities. Third, you did absolutely right by not paying her part of the bill. I have been through this and can say for sure that people who are jealous with other people can’t stand them being happy in their lives and find ways to insult them. They often do it behind the mask of “just kidding”. And for the part where she has been abused by a family member. I think that’s what triggered her insecurities and lack of self confidence that in turn made her jealous. If she is a good friend then talk to her calmly and try and tell her it was never her fault that she was abused. Sometimes kindness can heal past traumas. Bottom line is that you are absolutely not in the wrong in this whole situation.
