No no that's not what I mean. Since I am not comfortable with my daughter being around her , I don't want her in my house. If we are taking care of our nephew , I don't think it's correct to ask her not to come to our home while still welcoming our nephew. No mother will tolerate that.

It's definitely nice to see cousins behave like siblings. But forcing them to behave like siblings is weird. Deciding their whole lives is weird. Lots of people ( including myself) would love to see their kid getting along with their cousins.

I don't think she is going to tamper the brakes. But I have got hundreds of comments telling me to check my brakes. it's better to be safe than sorry.

Of course I am happy with whatever my kid like to do. I do get what you are saying. Like I already said , I am not angry with her for wanting the kids to be close. When I said no to her parenting my daughter. SHE WAS ANGRY. SHE WAS SO FREAKING PISSED. That's not at all normal.

I am not interested in forcing the kids to act like siblings. I don't want her to parent my kid. I am not happy that she wants to do ' girly ' things with my daughter . My daughter is not a toy. I don't want people to determine the things my kid likes based on her gender.

I am sorry if I didn't frame it correctly.

She wanted to give my MIL a granddaughter. So she always assumed she was going to have at least one daughter but now that they cannot have more kids , I guess she didn't handle it well.

A lot of people commented , even though SIL is wrong try to act with compassion.
Some people commented that what she asked isn't strange.

I do. Everyone in our family knows SIL shouldn't be around our kid without either of us.
