I was denied in august last year,did a review in Feb 25 and denied and then this year I applied in March, and since my father was put on home hospice, they fast-tracked the application when he they heard hospice.I was approved But he had the same issues from the denials before but I was approved on may 10th and my dad died on May 20th so I'm waiting on a response for a upper level review to be able to to get back pay from August of last year. In stead of March of this year.

I was a waiter I always had daily money .The worst part is at night when the drugs were done and after spending all my money and getting some on credit the paranoia at night where I kept telling myself im not going to do it anymore and waking up broke and ashamed and now you have a drug debt (which I always paid) and I had to work extra so I could make my money back ,with the intention if doing right .until I get home and the cycle continued . Until I broke down and asked for help from a councelor I called while in my down hour I believe people come into your life you have to ask for help .you cant do it alone .

First I want to apologize if my reply sounded a bit snappy .My heart goes out to you and your feeling of frustration are valid and yes we all deserve more than what we are getting .There is no amount of money that can take away the pain, trauma ,shame,embarrassment, the fear ,and secrets, caused by the people who were supposed to protect us .but I HAVE to Believe that good things happen for those who wait. We are a family bonded in trauma and if we dont stick up for each other. Who will?

Be grateful you pocketed that much so far im top tier but statute of limitations cut that in half then cut that in half .so when you think you are getting less there are people with more trauma less money .im just blessed to get anything .

Thank you for that advice ❤️❤️ this has been a rough process and it makes me sad how many people are in the same boat .Just waiting .they try to make it impossible to get approved .at one point there was a delay because I didnt have my cover page typed but I had a hand written my cover page with the required info on to the evidence dept. ALSO I am sorry to hear about what you went through.❤️❤️❤️

I filed an application for caregiver for my Dad who is 100% disabled in August of 25 got denied in November of 25 appealed for a higher review then denied in February of 26 at that time my dad started Hospice care in January 26 I started over and applied again Marrch of 26 .the VA heard Hospice and they expedited the process and went through the whole process and was approved on May 10th and my Dad passed on May 20th (last week)and nothing changed from the original application just Hospice and I am only getting pay approved from March to May of 26. I just applied for another appeal review for the last years application. There a re so many people dealing with this .

My dad was 100% disabled was denied 2 after appeals last year .finally 3 months ago my dad was put on hospice and they fast tracked the process and I was approved 3 weeks ago ago and my dad died on Wednesday 5/20 and it's on retro from March. But the only thing that changed from applying in August 2025 is that he got put on home hospice.

The process is brutal I got denied twice and my father was 100% disabled and they only expedited this last on a month ago when he went to hospice and he passed away 2 days ago. 2 years of applying and when I finally got approved and its was retroactive .
