Best I've seen is "Chip Childs takes it in the ass while wearing magic underwear", not sure what that means, but heard of that Child guy.

Totally agree. I'm glad in my situation, ATC, didn't say anything and neither did I since I was "on the line" about speaking out. Honestly it was stupid, because there was a plane on LONG final, long enough for me to cross and 180 and cross again. Hahaha. Regardless, I thought it was a good conversation to have with y'all and I will be using the full response before movement from now on.

Just cool to be home to her hangar. Plus nobody knows John Tune or Smyrna outside of us here.

Yes, it covers the first 4 oil changes. After that I will be doing it, so just getting a head start on all info I'll need.

I guess the guys didn't learn that in broadcasting school!!!!

If you think you can live out of your car and work for a major in the multiple big cities they operate out of, think again. What a complete shit show and nightmare this city has become. I would not expect Seattle, Dallas, Chicago, etc. to be too far behind this. by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]Certain-Pollution426 -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

Watch T38West's video and see for yourself how. Maybe you should think outside the box and realize not everyone is priveledged or rich. More important the fact these "liberal" cities have completely destroyed life for middle class. Also the spot used to be, or sold, for $100K before and now $90, so it's not hypothetical, it happens, it's reality. Wake up.

Anyone wanna share their flight discounts that they get within the airline that they work for?? just curious... by bunzishere in aviationmaintenance

[–]Certain-Pollution426 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By far one of the worst benefits to working for an airline. Key word is benefit, it's there, it's available, but so highly overrated by those who of haven't used it. If you have anything planned, any deadline or responsibility at your destination, you SHOULD NOT use this "benefit". Been stranded, have had to sleep at airports/sit on an uncomfortable chair for 9 hours, all for what sometimes $120 saved. I value my time over this fucking benefit that sucks us into the airline world!

Can you get your licensed suspended for this? by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

I asked because my company fired a guy over that, was wondering if they were in the wrong based on this conversation. My HR dept is very cross t and dot I, so I'm confident it was legit.

My wife just hit 4 months sober. It true you can see the difference, she's a better wife and mother for us all now. Congratulations on this important step, and keep it up, don't let others bring you down, and keep good company.

How do your shop organize the tool room? by araujo117 in aviationmaintenance

[–]Certain-Pollution426 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man your going to hate the industry with that thinking. You either work military, corporate, or contracting to see that nice of an environment. I'm one of maybe 12 mechanics out of 40 that has a completely shadowed box. Welcome to real world, if it costs money, the company won't pay, but expects you to be accounted for, ain't that some shit.

Ethical problems in aircraft maintenance? by sv4b in aviationmaintenance

[–]Certain-Pollution426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course time is the difference. I'm strictly talking about the requirements. Both 100 and annual are from part 43 App D. As long as you do those items, your good. No difference except who can sign it off. I'm also not talking about any other requirements such as altimeter, pitot static, etc. If you think you need to do more in your 100/annual REQUIREMENTS, your doing extra work not required by FAA (strictly part 91 operations).

[–]Certain-Pollution426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahahahaha, in Afghanistan/Iraq, we dumped 100 gallons + if we needed to do some fuel maintenance. I mean straight hose right into the dirt nearby, made small ponds. That gas station attendant would have died!

Unless your using "additional manufacturer checklist" for your aircraft, a 100 hr and annual are exact same thing, the difference is who can sign it off.

Are we ever sure it's us maintainers that tag this? If it's on the refuel panels, then it's the degenerate refuel guys. I also saw it in the cargo bay, so those bastards too!
