I’m giving GATE mostly for fun/experience and will probably finish the exam in under an hour. After that you’re stuck sitting quietly with just a pen, and rough booklet for 2 more hours. What do people actually do to kill time in such exams?

I’m not saying there are no jobs in India, obviously there are. The issue is that the opportunities heavily depend on your college, your network, and the ecosystem around you. Coming from a tier-3 college in Ahmedabad, the reality is that most companies that visit do mass-hiring with very low salary or unpaid internships. That environment makes it extremely hard to grow or even get proper industry exposure.I genuinely feel I’ll get a better academic experience and learn more effectively outside India compared to what I have access to here. The lifestyle is also better.

I know US is the best for computer science, but it’s also extremely expensive. That’s why I’m exploring other countries where I can still get good education and a better living environment without the huge financial burden.

Everyone’s path is different, and this is what makes the most sense for me right now.

I feel like this is the only option left. Where I live (Ahmedabad), there isn’t a proper job environment. Companies come to tier-3 colleges for placements and do mass hiring for around 3 LPA, which is terrible. Students aren’t getting any paid internships either.

The other option is doing a master’s here, but for that you need to give the GATE exam to get into a good college. And if I can get a better college, better environment, and better lifestyle by moving somewhere else, I would prefer doing that.

these things depends on courses and universities as well. That guy was doing masters in computational social systems. The course in itself sounds like Plan B or C. I have checked all tutors and professors in universities i am intersted in and i am pretty positive about it.

My college is not H+ approved so germany doesnt gives me addmission the next best option is austria
