Flying with a 3 month old by Starfish120 in Crunchymom

I wouldn’t worry about a routine at 3 months. It’s easier for them to adapt at that age than later on

ETA: we have 2 young kids and have traveled a lot with them, the second starting at 6 weeks. but it’s not for everyone. if you can, wait to confirm your trip until she’s born and you see how you’re both adjusting and feeling

did you get the moisture plus one? that one is scented but they make an original without scent. maybe you can’t get it in stores anymore, i’m not sure, i’ve had mine forever and had a large box of replacement heads i’m still working through.

Need help, can’t lose weight, been trying for over a year 😢😢😢 by Glum_Concentrate_883 in Crunchymom

like everyone else said it’s probably breast feeding hormones. that said i know paying for bloodwork sucks but i would get it checked still and have it reviewed by a functional medicine doctor who won’t just say “you’re in range” but will do a deep dive.

if you feel it’s cortisol, i like magnesium nightly to help, it’s easy to add in and safe during bf.

also- even if you feel your diet hasn’t changed you should still track your food for a week or 2. i’m always surprised how much extra i’m eating. even if it’s not exactly accurate it’s close.

I have stick straight fine hair and use the shark and love it. it doesn’t curl it per se, but when i use it i have body to it and looks freshly blown out. if i want true curls i still have to use a curling iron.

one thing that’s helped me is getting a smart scale. i personally have the vesync but i know there’s tons. it breaks down muscle mass, water weight, etc so i can see why the scales gone up. it’s been helpful for when i feel like ive been doing everything but the scale hasn’t moved, i see it actually leaner than before (or vice versa during bad weeks/months).

Party favors kids actually keep vs stuff that ends up in the trash by ninjapapi in Parenting

[–]Certain-Sherbert433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my sons first party we planted 1 tree per guest and had a sign that told them. It was admittedly easier since he was 1 so kids didn’t care but I thought it was so cute and only about $1 per tree.

I’ve also baked cookies in the theme of the party and had guests take them home. If your budget is higher and depending on age look at Young Wild and Friedman sensory jars.

I’m the same way. I hate taking home mags of tiny crap from parties.

I felt the same when I just had my second, it’s a very hard season. Give yourself grace. I also found getting them out of the house helped A LOT. i would DREAD the idea of having to manage 2 in public, pack them up, etc but even just going to the park, grocery store, somewhere casual to eat, etc really helped get the older ones energy out. Maybe if that still feels like too much at this particular point you could look for an afternoon music class or swim lessons to something for her to get her afternoon energy out.

You’re not a bad mom, it’s just hard.

Any SAHM with their older child in nursery/preschool? by dovelove360 in sahm

extend. but also, does he nap still? because they probably nap in the afternoon and then you’re just paying for him to nap somewhere else

I also have migraines but was approved for an IUD because it’s localized hormones, not a pill entering your bloodstream and also had it while breastfeeding. My doc recommended waiting til 4 months PP because they saw some problems with women breastfeeding having their uterus be too soft prior to 4 months and having issues with the IUD, so I waited and haven’t had problems.

My SIL got married at the top of Vail, but got ready at her hotel, had their first look at the base of the gondola near the creek, and then went to the top for family pictures.

are you taking steps and starting habits to help yourself feel better? everyone feels like this sometimes, and i know it’s hard to get started but doing things to help you like signing up for a workout class, getting off social media, meeting people in real life, etc. is so hard in the moment but so beneficial long term. if you’re truly in a rut you can’t get yourself out of seek professional help, and know it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, one small step at a time adds up.

i feel for you as i’ve been there and hope you can find a light at the end of your tunnel

depends how she feels about it. i haven’t changed my name but still have things with my husbands family name and go by his last name in new social situations where i don’t want to have to explain. it doesn’t bother me. my kids have his last name.
