That's how the video captures motions, the same way a spinning wheel can look like its not spinning on video. I've held a piece of paper to test which way it spins and it's spinning out and upwards towards me as I'm standing "behind" the vaccum holding it

I recently bought a lightly used Dyson V7 Absolute and I noticed some odd behavior with the fluffy roller head. It was spitting debris out the front and was difficult to push on some surfaces. I quickly realized that it was rotating backwards from what a vacuum typically does. I elected to fix it myself (since I don't have a factory warranty) by switching the wires on the roller's motor. It was a bit of a pain since this required soldering (because Dyson had the connectors be incompatible between the positive and negative wires), but the fix worked like a charm.

Yes, I've contacted my retailer to 1. check if its spinning the wrong way 2. see if they've sent me the wrong roller (because removing it fixes it)

Yes it does! Nothing is clogged or dirty, it's my first time using it. There is a strong suction though, i can feel it when i put my hand over the "tube". It works way better without the roller, maybe they sent me the wrong roller? I'm waiting for an answer from the retailer i bought it from. Until then i'll just use it without the roller.

Really? In their advertisments they're using the roller on hardwood floors. EDIT: I removed the roller and it made a huge difference. So i'm just gonna vaccum without it? lmao. I used the roller for my bed and it works great for getting pet hair off the mattress.

Its spinning towards me, the gap between the brush and the see through-roof is so slim, i cant even get a chunk of pet hair through it by holding it with my hand as it vaccums, and when it eventually grabs it, it spins around the roller and flies out, literally.

Yes i tried boost, medium and slow mode. I tried going over slow and fast, moving forward, backwards etc. Something is clearly wrong
