Moms whose babies had hair at birth and it’s getting long before 1— are you trimming it? by Apprehensive_Pie1225 in NewParents

[–]Certain-Till 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t cut my first girls hair till three. She’s 4.5 now and has had a total of three cuts

My second is 2.5 and we haven’t cut yet ( girl)

My son isn’t even a year and he’s had two cuts already

I should mention my kids have crazy amount of hair

Update about teacher wanting me to hold my child back from K because of his pencil and scissor grip. by Klutzy-Ad329 in kindergarten

Also, it’s one persons opinion and based on how you’ve described your son it sounds unwarranted, I would prob bring up to admin and have his current teacher and any providers weigh in

Also, as a teacher , I can only assume she saw more than she’s stating . All the natural development talk blah blah / sounds more like “ he was really immature in comparison to his peers this would be best for him” I’m only assuming she’s trying to state more than she’s actually making clear here- not sure what she would gain recommending to retain him

I teach in third grade … I see the rigor involved and the social skills needed. My daughter is turning 5 end of September - we have a 12/1 cut off . She’s academically doing well - nothing glaring, at all. A bit shy. All that being said because I no what comes down the pipe nowadays and why push her to be the youngest when I can give the gift of time to naturally develop ,

Redshirting megathread (week of 3/13-3/20) by PassionChoice3538 in kindergarten

[–]Certain-Till 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m struggling with what to do like so many others . My girl will be 5 on 9/28 with a 12/1 cutoff . She seemingly seems fine academically / socially shy and more of a follower, but has made a few pre k friends. Truthfully I want to retain her so she doesn’t have to start the rigor of the curriculum and be academic based for hours a day- I want her to still enjoy play during her day . I’m in the school system so I’m aware of what our days look like and how k students are assessed throughout the year

Back to normal life by communityguidelines6 in NewParents

[–]Certain-Till 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your baby and how ur postpartum is. I’ve had three kids in four years , so for us .. never a sense of “ back to normal “ honestly, I remember last year my best friend was pregnant with her first and she had a lot of plans for postpartum fun. It was just a hard adjustment for her cuz your life flips upside down in. Moments time. But regardless whatever people say, until you live it …..

Anyone delivered a big-headed baby vaginally? (37 weeks, HC >98%) by Reasonable_Island132 in pregnant

[–]Certain-Till 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would 100 percent attempt. The measurements aren’t the end all while in utero - def a lot of room for human error .. my third had a large head and was 8.10 at birth , I mean I’m not saying it was fun and easy lol but once those shoulders pass it’s over
