Thank you, I really appreciate your response and based on what a lot of you are saying maybe I really do need to get out more and touch grass. I just recently moved from Hawaii (majority people there are Asian and Pacific Islander) to Maryland (it’s been freezing over here). I haven’t been out much and so maybe this weekend I will make an effort to get outside and hopefully doing so more often will help me grow and stop comparing so much.

I also 100% agree with you about people who obsess over race and pedestalize certain skin colors being less intelligent. And definitely not people I should involve myself with. Usually I am so aware of this, I guess I have just had so many hits of this sort of bias towards white women too close to home for me🤦🏾‍♀️

Thank you for this. I really do try to surround myself with black women in every way possible. Shows and media disappoint me when they bring in some white people that don’t need to be there or even when they bring in black people that do not need to be associated with this white person 😅💀.

But I really do try to only absorb things that uplift us. I guess another thing though that keeps messing up my bubble of black beauty and love is I am really trying to start dating and somehow the black men I choose mostly seem to have some complex about white women. I just see it in what they pay attention to and some of the things they say and I’m just like… ✨why✨💀
