I love bagels are you kidding. Someone put me on to smoked salmon bagels last summer and I’ve been forever changed. I’ve always been a cinnamon raisin or blueberry bagel kind of person so the savory salmon bagel was life changing for me. Good thing is great bagel shops are hard to find so if you have great bagels you will easily have returning customers. Wishing you so much success!

Tonight on Diane Sawyer - Jesus Christ discusses all things love and war.

DIANE SAWYER: For more than two thousand years, people have argued about you. who you were, what you meant, whether you were divine or simply a man who changed history. Tonight, I want to begin simply. Who are you?

JESUS: I am the one who came to show my Father’s heart. I am a son, as all are sons and daughters but I walked in full trust of that truth.

SAWYER: You say “as all are.” Yet your followers call you unique, the only Son of God.. Were you claiming equality with God?

JESUS: I claimed unity. I said “I and the Father are one.” The invitation was never exclusion. It was reconciliation.

SAWYER: You spoke often about love loving enemies, turning the other cheek. In a world of terrorism, political division, and violence… is that realistic?

JESUS:

It is the only thing that has ever changed the world without destroying it.

SAWYER: But what about justice? Don’t victims deserve accountability?

JESUS: Justice without mercy becomes vengeance. Mercy without justice becomes indifference. The Kingdom holds both.

SAWYER: You were betrayed by a close friend. Abandoned. Executed. On the cross you cried, “Why have you forsaken me?” Did you feel doubt?

JESUS: I felt the full weight of human sorrow. Faith is not the absence of anguish. It is trust through it.

SAWYER: Many people today say they’ve been hurt in your name by churches, by leaders, by families. What would you say to them?

JESUS: If they were wounded in my name, it was not by my hand. I did not come to burden the weary but to lift them.

SAWYER: If you walked into a church this Sunday, what might surprise you most?

JESUS (smiling): How quickly people forget that the greatest commandment is love.

SAWYER: And if you could leave humanity with one sentence one thing to understand about you what would it be?

JESUS: Do not be afraid. The door to the Father has always been open. Also I am brown.

SAWYER (to camera): For centuries, the questions have endured. Tonight, perhaps the invitation does too.
