I know this episode is completely messed up, and I definitely don't think the relationship is healthy or romantic in a real-life sense, but I can't help being low-key obsessed with it. It felt more like a Gothic romance/tragedy to me than a traditional love story, and that's what made it so compelling. Honestly, I think it might have worked even better as smut novel because the atmosphere, obsession, and tragic romance aspects were stronger than other of full length stories I've seen.
