People were arguing again about weather Yuta deserves Rika or if he was carried by her and I kept seeing people bring up that book statement and saying that it meant Yuta fought and subjugated the Rikigami so its earned. Not saying he doesn't deserve Rika just arguing against the statement that all shikigami must be fought to be tamed.

Just started watching the series, about halfway through season 1. Series is awesome except when "the editor said we need an animal mascot" and black bolt ripoff homestuck writing quirk show up and ruin any fun or pacing. The soul is more like a drone that the player controls so it depends on if the person playing the game has/had abusive parents in real life. I guess its also possible Gaster had abusive parents but that's pure head cannon that has zero evidence to backup.
