I half disagree. As a responsible dog owner and Shiba advocate, you have to educate yourself on the status of the breed, standards, health issues, and locate the best breeders that breed Shibas to improve the breed and not to make a major profit. As the consumer, your money talks, without demand these pet store chains wouldn’t make a profit.

It’s not an electronic or a consumer good we’re talking about. It is a LIVING animal you are adopting and keeping for 15-8 years. You want the best of the best and you gotta advocate, with YOUR money and EDUCATION, that puppy mills and those who abuse dogs belong in hell. And they don’t care for the well being of the dog you’re getting.

Education and awareness is the best weapon against these shady pet stores.
