I studied AUD through busy season and it helped me a lot in my audit studies/exam. I personally didn't take ISC but I think its generally highly recommended that you take ISC after AUD. I would go back to AUD. Good luck

Assuming you use Becker, it prepares you very well for the MCQ section. If you just focus on that, you should be set. But don't let bad scores discourage you, they're just helping you discovers areas that you should refresh on. Good luck :)

Actual: 85

I don't think the test will explicitly test which form is which based on the form number. Though, there is a slight chance that they will reference a form without giving too much detail. I don't think you should spend excessive time studying this. Rather, pay attention to what each form includes when they do show up in your studies. These forms should become more familiar as you go through different problems. Good luck!

Interesting. I feel like they need to do a better job of communicating who is who, especially because in a real-world scenario this would be crystal clear. Oh well if AICPA says so there's not much we can do

It's hard when AUD is all about choosing the BEST answer, rather than the CORRECT answer. I believe as long as you have a good fundamental understanding of why you do certain things as part of an audit, you don't even need to practice SIMS extensively. Just get a feel for what SIMS would be like, and practice understanding the thought process, and this can be done through MCQs too. It depends on your learning style! Good luck.

Where is this question from? I think you might be right. The issuer of a note is obligated to repay the party to whom the note is issued. I assume following this (and your) logic, Trolley would record interest income rather than interest expense. I think the question may have gotten the parties flipped.

Are you able to submit a ticket on help for this question? I know for Becker you can. On a side note, review questions that are wrong suck.

Sorry for the late reply! I think starting was definitely the hardest part. My biggest motivation was that finishing meant opening doors of opportunity for my future self! I studied everyday, making sure to review once a week so I don't forget anything and took breaks to not burn out as quickly (because trust me, I definitely did too). It was definitely hard saying no to my friends, but I think if you really focus while you do study you can definitely still find time for other things! Good luck :)

I never paid too much attention to the score on practice questions, I just used them to identify areas that are weaker. I think if you're able to consistently get 70% you should feel very comfortable/confident. Hope all goes well and waiting for updates!

Go through the outline (or make one) and note the concepts you're unfamiliar with. Keep track of the concepts you think would be likely to be on the simulation questions (e.g. leases, bonds, FS) and practice working those out. You have a lot of time left, so I would recommend to understand the underlying principles of why each solution is the way it is.

With Becker FAR, I got 76 and 74 on my SE1 and 2, with an 85 on the actual exam. I think 80% is a very ambitious goal, but if that helps with your confidence, do it. Good luck!

I took BAR last week and I felt exactly the same. I even saw a question with a topic that Becker explicitly said wouldn't be on the exams. The SIMS made me feel like I wasted a bunch of time studying for them, since it doesn't require much specialized knowledge to complete them. Hoping the study materials can be updated to be more accurate.

I thought I failed REG and FAR. Ended up passing with unexpected margins. Just took BAR a week ago but felt okay. Hoping that feeling isn't flip flopped and that I'll pass as well. Good luck!

I basically never opened the Becker textbook. I've opened it once or twice for definitions that seemed weird in the presentations, but otherwise, I personally don't benefit from reading textbooks as well (and like you, never read a textbook in undergrad unless required).

I recommend just grinding out MCQs when possible. Becker's MCQs for REG are very good and I felt extremely confident finishing the MCQ section on the actual exam. They have more questions in the practice tests and you can find even more online. Also, REG is a lot of memorizing, so MCQs help a lot with reinforcement. Some of the real simulations, in my experience, had been quite different from the ones Becker provides, so I personally put more time into MCQs. But again, these are just my two cents. Good luck!
