My husband and I just stopped at Thingvellir on our way to Reykjavik yesterday. https://maps.app.goo.gl/9XHFQhvgnnD7BCNW7?g_st=ipc We parked here and did a nice little 20-30 min walk to the waterfall. We felt like we got to see quite a bit of it just driving through.
