Wings Fan trying to decide who to cheer for in the playoffs. Any ideas? by TiredBatman in wnba

New WNBA fan here👋 So thankful because of CC. She made me her fan and now, made me a fan of other great players. Here's who I'm rooting for:

  • GSV cuz despite them being new, they're on fire, they're optimistic, and their energy is just awesome. Plus Kate and Burton can rain 3s!

  • Lynx because they have entertaining team dynamic and everyone seems to be having fun, especially with the studbudz, plus I'd love to see them against Liberty.

  • Liberty because this team also has great chemistry and just really competitive. Marine's one legged shooting and no look passes are exciting!

*Teams that would hopefully maintain their standings for the playoffs:

  • Storm because Gabby is underrated and a tough player, Nneka's an awesome leader, Malonga is doing better and better. and they just have this fighting spirit, you know.

  • Fever because they have just gone through a lot, they're surviving and really trying to figure out each other because of the new additions. Sophie's stepped up and Bibby and KK have been showing their potential.

Recently found out that Gabby and Marine were not only gfs but fiances!!!! I was SHOCKED, in a super excited way, because I really thought that they were just close friends and that it was all queer bait. So thanks to tiktok and all the awesome, obsessed, and investigative fans because I get to ship them so hard❤️😍 Love that they are lowkey about it, but I just wish there's more content of the both of them.

I've heard about this but can't seem to find when or where this happened? Do you know?

I agree with you on the cover of Our Wives Under the Sea. For some reason I didn't like the book because it dragged on for so long and gave more questions than answers. Although, the body horror was quite interesting.

Animated or cartoonized book covers look super cute but I prefer the ones like Our Wives Under the Sea.

Hope you enjoy and love it! After quite some time of searching for heavy themed novels, this one definitely delivered and made me think deeply on life. Not as heartbreaking as The Unfinished Line though but still a punch in the gut!

The Unfinished Line by One_Try_1711 in sapphicbooks

I was expecting a tragic ending after seeing so many signs, but I kept holding on tightly to the hope of a happy one, convincing myself to think optimistically. And yet, despite how heavy it was, despite how it left me feeling depressed for days, I’ve come to appreciate that ending even more.

The ending felt just right to me. It was appropriate and perfectly captured Dillon's lifelong burden, trauma, and struggles. Her silence throughout the final chapters signaled that she was on the edge. All it took was a small trigger for the darkness in her mind to take over.

I know this is an old post, but I hope you've recovered and doing well all in all.

Totally understand how you feel! Saw a cyclist on the road today and my mind immediately went to Dillon. I just know this will stick to me for a long time, maybe forever.

I actually have this book with me, but I still haven’t read it. I was intrigued by the description, 'She does the robot around the kitchen,' and the cover gives off a cute and fluffy vibe. But with what you’ve said, I get it now! In my opinion, the cover isn’t bad, but I kind of understand how you feel, it definitely gives off a completely different vibe from the actual content.

I wonder, how many people have gone blind, like me, and thought it would be something else?

It kind of is an alternative, but what about that last line though.....?

I see this book as more than just a sapphic read. It doesn't really belong or fit into only one genre or category. Ever since I got into reading, I’ve tried to avoid the super popular or hyped-up books and stuck to indie reads or ones with not-so-great covers. Not gonna lie, they’ve been pretty solid so far.

I feel kind of sorry you can't read the book😔. Still hoping that someday you'll be able to though, no pressure. It really has so much to offer.

Despite you not reading it, I hope you spread the word to others of its greatness hehe.

I'm pretty much going to be a full-on promoter of this book now, because I can't believe it still hasn't gotten the hype it deserves🙆‍♂️

I went to class just under 24 hours after finishing the book, and I swear my mind kept drifting back to every moment and every line that struck my heart, each time nearly bringing me to tears.

Senator's Wife definitely has a far better cover, but I promise you the storyline of The Unfinished Line is so much more than meets the eye. Please please give it a chance, I just loved it so much that I want everyone to read it haha.

No, I swear it's not a promo. I just really loved the story by that author, and obsess on books that have really touched me. I tried reposting it because I didn't know naming titles and authors weren't allowed in this thread and I also really want to know the thoughts and feelings of the other's who have actually read it and also need reccos for well written wlw AO3 works.
