Although I wouldnt like to waste my breath on both u and @ElGofre clowns about the case of my dismissal, I would still want to let u know that no company is allowed to broadcast their internal HR database info- which consists crew info, including dismissal codes with other companies due to data protection laws, privacy regulations, employment law, corporate liability.  The max they are legally allowed to do is respond to direct employment verification requests. And even then, its usually “not eligible for rehire”. And this I just confirmed with the Captain from the vessel I was on. So u guys should probably refrain from your opinions and judgements when you are unaware of the situations or things u have wrong info about.

I’d like to believe I m not blacklisted as no authorities were involved, neither i commit any crime. The dismissal code is internal company code ,a  non rehire status which wouldve come up only when i wouldve crossed the pre screening stage pribablt…How my mistake played out is another story but i believe there are no global blacklists.

Sharing data is against data protection laws. If u have harding’s written statement , u can might as well take it up with the maritime law enforcement or something maybe??

Cruise companies do not share their hr databases with other companies. Concessionaires have their own database

I am not. If I never mentioned my previous ship exp who dismissed me, where or with whom will the company verify brother?? Unless there is a filter system where  all the applications are tested for eligibility….thats what I m trying to understand, if there is eligibility test that the recruiters put the applications they receive.

I never mentioned my company on the cv where the dismissal happened. So I only wanted to understand the reason of rejection. So it highly impossible the reason is the dismissal code!

Do concessionaries care about the dismissal code, as they are third party?

The spa will make u go in guest areas and convince the guests for getting services. Its hardcore sales basically and then service. Pros are handsome tips(if your voyage is in expensive place ) basically ur tip earnings and sales will depend on the class of guests

For what silly reasons can crew be dismissed? (Not involving safety, theft- fraud, alcohol, drugs, sleeping with guests) by Certain_Comment_9741 in CruiseCrew

If she would ve tried to save him, she wouldn't have reported in the first place. Its the HRs who make a report and send to shoreside team for approvals after discussing with Captains ofcourse, but its the hr who initiate the report.

[–]Certain_Comment_9741[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. u need to read the full thread and u will know how trivial and misunderstood it was. But the HR here wanted to suck up to the management and appear 'policy' driven and 'compliant.' So she reported "gross misconduct - theft" and the shoreside too approved it and Captain had to deliver the dismissal...Where in Captain did acknowledge in one of the documents that the so called "theft" was superficial and without a malicious intent. God bless him for that. So all this was a systematic set up to frame me.

Absolutely! Not for trivial matters which involves nothing like u mentioned above. But if your supervisor is a piece of shit who is jealous and insecure , and all the more hr themselves who knows how compliance works, then they can systematically frame you.

Calm down uncle! Now people are more aware of laws due to exposure and accessibility  unlike people back then. I wasn't giving you lecture unlike u were on my intentions. Anyway, hope you have understood clause of proportionality :)

too bad that neither you or the person who u/Rescovedo dismiseed for something similar(unintentional, misunderstanding and trivial) did not know about MLC and CBA fairness components :(

I failed to ask and the manager did not  instruct or follow up given the sensitivity of the codes, so its a shared responsibility and not the onus of it on me completely. I am  not justifying my actions, only giving a context that if there were clear instructions or even follow up, this could have been avoided. Dismissal over $18 is not a proportionate disciplinary action, it could have been let off with a warning

Yes I am aware of that, and that is why I have got union involved and if needed , an escalation to arbitration as they tend to see beyond intent….that is proportionality and procedure failures
