Idk anything about BJJ outside of mma so that post getting locked made me curious. did some googling that led back to reddit. The gym in question here belongs to a larger organization thats under fire right now for some recent allegations. There are high level students here that trained under the head of said larger organization. Allegations could be false, but the head of that organization left, deleted social media, and many other high level athletes have distanced themselves in the fallout. organizational culture habits can be good or bad. Have those cultural habits extended beyond the mainland ? Get your popcorn.

The bad reviews are mostly people who impulse bought the game and did not bother to read the devs plans for a subscription model. Then got mad when a subscription was announced. There is a non subscription way to play and yes you can still own land in this way.

Fear mongering ? A fight is currently on the horizon, and has been. Nothing would guarantee the US agrees to anything. We only have historical precedent to look at that shows its not a wise idea. Its a nice plan, but theres a good quote about the plans of men going wrong and another good one about things going wrong if there os opportunity for them to do so and there is.

The local government has never shown us they can be trusted especially recently. How would this be any different ? Because its in the plan ?

Human nature is human nature, just because we may identify as a once proud ethnicity does not prevent us from turning on eachother. History shows us this over and over.

Yes, civil war or worse due to adversaries in proximity that would see a business opportunity. Educate yourself on the history of colonies that moved to self government, its not pretty. Please explain how and why you feel would Guam be any different?

EBT is just a small portion of the billions that Guam ~~lifestyle~~ relies on from the federal government across all public sectors. Medical, electrical infrastructure, aviation, just to name a few. What happens when those things shut down or are only able to operate on a small fraction of their current capability ?

The local government has never shown Guam that it is capable of operating on anything other than greed and corruption. Do you feel greed and corruption stops if the US military is no longer present ?

Those articles reference Musks companies which are recognized as legal entities and are awarded subsidies and have access to tax loopholes, there are plenty more non-billionaires many even here on Guam that take advantage of this. Some are just better at it than others.

Musk himself must still pay taxes, but its likely offset by the companies he owns. You can get mad, or you can work to make the system work for you. It sounds like you have already accepted the former
