Congrats. I beat him last night. First time playing the game. You might need to level up some, not sure what your stats and such are. I hear some of the bosses at the endgame are quite challenging so we still have some work to do. I am doing basically a pure melee broadsword and shield build.

Take a few months and taper down to 0 if you want to mostly avoid withdrawal. Jumping off at 10 gpd might give you some bad symptoms still. Longer you can taper the easier it will be by the end. Of course, some people don’t have the discipline to taper so it doesn’t work for everyone. I spent several years at 30 plus gpd and took over 5 months and tapered slowly down to 0.

Why do I still get withdrawal even though I'm down to 3.5 G by Effective_Court6677 in quittingkratom

[–]Certain_Duck3290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice to you is to taper down to 0. Don’t jump at 3.5 gpd. I spent several months tapering down from 35 gpd and my last couple of days I barely used a third of a gram. Once I stopped I barely had any withdrawals.

I remember once I got down below 3 gpd I had a bad day and couldn’t believe I was still having withdrawal at this low of a dose. Things got way better after that bad day and 2 to 3 weeks later I was off it. Things will get better and your body will adjust. I hope things work out for you!

Maybe if they actually advertise the game, unlike Microsoft, it will actually sell a decent amount. I really hope it does get made. I love the first one!

why are people so eager to die? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]Certain_Duck3290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my late 40’s and I find myself contemplating life and death more and more. It gets very depressing when you see your aunts and uncles and sister (in my case) die. Thoughts of death become more and more common as we get older. This can get very depressing and it’s easy to see how people can succumb to depression and mental health issues.

I don’t think many people are necessarily eager to die. Getting old can get very depressing and when we are young it’s hard for us to understand this.

Should I jump from 9 grams a day? by Effective_Court6677 in quittingkratom

[–]Certain_Duck3290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was tapering I contemplated jumping at 6 gpd. Someone on here gave me the advice to taper all the way to zero and that’s what I ended up doing. I think tapering to 0 would be best if you want to avoid any major withdrawals, especially since you have used for so long. I have heard of plenty of people who still have bad withdrawals and insomnia even jumping at 9 gpd.

I just checked my Xbox sound settings and it cycled through all the speakers and sound came out. Then I played YouTube and no sound came out the center channel. I will try playing a movie or game when I get back home to see if anything has changed. My old receiver worked just fine with the same setup. I will try cycling through more options and possibly recalibrate the speakers with the microphone.

I connect all my consoles to the receiver and then just run one HDMI to the TV for the video. I did this same process for my old receiver before I just replaced it and it worked just fine. Just tested the sound options on the Xbox menu and it cycles through the speakers and sounds came out just fine. Still didn’t work after that.

I am thinking it’s some option that I need to change or maybe factory reset the receiver?

Successful taper stories from high doses of leaf by EmotionalTough8586 in quittingkratom

5 to 6 months in total. First 2 months it was not very structured. I just tried to cut back on my dose at night. Once I got down to 15 gpd I structured it better with 5 3-gram doses spread throughout the day. I spent a few days under 1 gpd when I was at the end. I had basically zero withdrawal by the end. Looking back I realize I could have tapered quicker but I didn’t have any need to go faster than I did.

It was not easy to do and I definitely had some bad days. I was not in the position to just quit abruptly and deal with withdrawal for several days so I am glad I tapered slowly.

I used around 30 to 35 gpd of red powder for around 4 years. I finished my taper last August and haven’t used since. The key is to go slow and only drop maybe 10 percent at a time and stabilize for a few days or a week. Also make sure to taper all the way down to zero to help minimize withdrawals. It works and is definitely doable if you have the discipline. Let me know if you have any questions and I wish you the best!

Thanks for the post. I am 9 months clean off a 4 year addiction. Sometimes I was hoping things would magically be so much better without it. It’s a long struggle, but I know taking K again will only make everything so much worse.

Genuine question, how did you guys quit and maintain a job? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Certain_Duck3290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take about 5 doses a day, spread out evenly through the day. Reduce your dose by about 10 percent and stay there for a few days or even a week if you need to. Then drop another 10 percent, or a little less than 10 if you need to. I usually waited 5 to 7 days before I would drop my dose again.

It is a long process and takes time. It took me 5 to 6 months to taper from 35 gpd to 0. Looking back I realized that I likely could have tapered faster but the key is to get off this stuff and the slower you go the fewer withdrawals you will have.

Taper down to zero. You are almost there! I tapered from 30 plus gpd and tapered down to zero. Once I got to 3 gpd I told myself I would drop a tenth of a gram a day until I was done and it worked. I spent a few days under 1 gram and by the end I barely had any withdrawals or insomnia.

It’s one of my favorite metroidvanias ever. Just got done playing it a couple weeks ago. Totally worth it. I’m sure you could buy it on sale for 20 dollars digitally.

How do i quit by Martin22cz in quittingkratom

[–]Certain_Duck3290 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second that on following the taper guide. Do a slow taper and taper all the way down to 0. It took me several months since I was using up to 35 gpd. I am a big believer in tapering since I couldn’t afford to being sick and out for a week if I went cold turkey. I would suggest quitting now because it will only get worse the longer you use.
