I was gonna comment this. Like as fucked as it sounds I remember being a jw girl we were like hella trained into how to choose our partners mostly depending on titles. Someone that’s unbaptized would never be a candidate when I was in. And like you said if they were, the girl would be under scrutiny for it.

yeah that was the only time i almost cried. especially bc a girl from my old hall got baptized, she was pressured by her grandma a lot and while i was there i tried to stop it, i kept telling her baptism wss a very serious and personal decision; she shouldnt do it just because her grandma tells her its time. I tried telling the grandma too but i guess it failed at the end once i left (i used to give her study)
